I was thinking of taking girl out to dinner next weekend. I was thinking of a nice place to take her and realized: hey, I work at a restaurant, I can take her there.

At second thought I started doubting it. It could be awkward since it's a first date and I know everyone there (including most guests) and they could ask her awkward questions. On the other hand I know what's the best things on the menu and get a 30% discount ;)

What do you think? Should I take her there or choose another restaurants. It's Amsterdam after all, theres a million to choose from.

I think she(and perhaps you as well) might start to want the date to be a little more private as the date progresses. If you went someplace where you knew everyone, it might feel like there are a million eyes watching you.

I'd take her somewhere new, but I guess you'd be the best judge of how the people at that restaurant might react to you having a date there.

If stay away from work place it can be too much pressure and coworkers might violate the privacy feel, which is necessary to create intimacy.

Once you're an item, eating at place of work can happen semi-regularly, but not at the expense of being perceived as "cheap".
