Some say if you start shaving it makes hair grow back thicker. So you could try. But I must say I'd rather not have to shave it's a pain

I think shaving makes it grow faster. The more often I shave, the faster it grows back.

Not really. As they said shaving might cause it to grow in thicker. But you shouldn't really worry, you're still young, you will be able to grow it eventually!

Is it true that protein helps?

If u don't have any facial hair now to shave
ur hair is not going to grow in if u shave bare
skin. Once u c a sign of facial hair-let it grow a
little and then shave it and then it might grow in
thicker-but if u r just starting puberty u have to
wait til u do c some coming in like upper lip hair.

Maybe I'll let my hair grow long to make it look like I got side burns. I do have some pubes and a couple armpit hairs.

Shaving doesn't cause hair to grow back faster. It just doesn't. It's like mowing grass, cutting it doesn't make it grow, it grows because it rains and gets nutrients. You just need to give yourself some time, my beard's not thick but it's enough that if I don't shave, people say something about it. I don't shave my sideburns and they're thicker than my chin hair, so I don't think it's about how often/much you shave, it's up to your genetics.

Ur intrigued with protein. My Dad the doctor said
that for the most part protein in teen and pre teen
males is to build muscle mass-it rarely makes a
difference in ball size or growing hair unless it is
taken in large quantities like in protein drinks that
may over time ruin ur kidneys-but he said a modest
amount every day in drink form could b beneficial
to a healthy teen male.

I shaved my upper lip hair which was like
peach fuzz and now it is growing in courser
and darker which before I shaved it-it was
staying the same. Idk if it was getting to the
next level in puberty or not.

That's most likely because you got older and went through another change during puberty. It happens to every guy. You don't change it, it changes you.

I was an early bloomer and I would say I am fairly hairy. I'm already able to get stubble. Shaving is a pain, so I usually only do it every few days, but when I have stubble everyone thinks I'm older.

I've heard that shaving doesn't make your hair faster, and that it's just a myth. Though I could be wrong.

I heard massaging could help blood flow and give you more hair

While it is possible that shaving it makes it grow back thicker, I don't think it's true. I think to many it seems like that but it just grows back thicker because you get further into puberty. Just wait, it'll come.

I've decided to just let my hair grow long so it looks like I have sideburns

It just takes time. I started growing sideburns at around 13, now I'm 16 and can grow nearly a full beard.

I don't think there's any way to alter the course of puberty unfortunately. I think for this one you'll have to be a little patient.
