I'm just wondering if boys can technically start puberty before the growth of pubic hair.
Because my dick has been almost 5 inches since I was 13 and I'm currently turning 15 in May.
I started producing pubic hair a couple months after I turned Fourteen and sperm was about six months later.
I'm trying to figure out if I was a late bloomer or just slow and out of order.
I know that girls can start showing signs of breast development way before pubic hair but I wasn't sure if it could be the same for guys

So based on what I've said do you think I started puberty at 13 even know I didn't get pubic hair or sperm until almost 15th?

I just turned 13 at beginning of March and when I had my doctor's appointment he told me that I was in puberty. I was surprised because I don't have any hair yet, but my dick is starting to get big and my balls seem out of proportion big.

Do you have pubes now? And also are you producing any sperm yet?
I don't think I started getting sperm until 5 months after I turned 14

No I don't have any pubes yet, but I can shoot. What I shoot is clear stuff though, so I don't think that's sperm?

it takes some guys longer to get pubes. I think I was about 14 or so when I got mine. I remember masturbating when I was totally smooth.

It just depends on the person. Some people get pubic hair as they start puberty and others get it later.

It's different for everyone, doesn't mean you're slow or quick because it changes

Although it's normal for guys to start puberty with pubic hair I have many friends whose penis grew first, so I think you might just be going through puberty in a different order.

Pubic hair certainly is one of the first things to happen in puberty the majority of the time but there is not absolute, set in stone order that puberty happens so if you've noticed other changes then you have started.

My cousin is turning 11 in June and he already has pubic hair.

The appearance of public hair is probably the first thing most people notice but it is certainly not the start.
Puberty starts with hormone increases. The hypothalamus, part of the brain, produces a hormone called GnRH which causes the pituitary gland (located within the brain) to produce two more hormones: FSH and LH. LH causes the testicles to start producing testosterone and FSH, along with the testosterone, cause the testicles to start producing sperm.
It is then the testosterone that causes, either directly or indirectly, all the other changes so by the time you notice pubic hair those early hormone changes have happenned and your testosterone level is already up.
Now regarding your specific sequence of events it is possible your level of Dihydrotestosterone is a little low. Dihydrotestosterone is produced from testosterone by an enzyme called 5α-reductase and in most respects seems to act as a more potent version of testoserone but this is particularly so with hair growth and development of the prostate gland which may be why public hair and ability to ejaculate were comparatively late compared to penis growth. [The prostate gland contributes much of the liquid to semen]
If this is the case there are certain advantages - a lower chance of prostate cancer later in life, a lower chance of BPH and a lower chance of male pattern baldness. As long as everything works now and your development is progressing I wouldn't worry.

As everyone has already said, it varies from person to person.
Personally, pubes were one of the first things I noticed, and once I noticed them I thought I should find out what 'porn' really was etc.
I could cum when I first jerked off, so I guess my balls were already developing before pubes.
This was when I was 11 by the way.
