That should be reassuring that not shooting is fine. As to why the difference between Kinseys results and what seems to be reported here there are actually quite a few possible explanations:

1. Self-selection. Essentially in a thread that askes "Do you shoot or dribble?" those who shoot reply and those who don't keep quiet.

2. Exaggeration. In a poll that asks "How far can you shoot" some people exaggerate their own answer. It's hard to say if it is happenning with ejaculation distance but certainly it does happen with penis size. When the average for penis size in a forum like this is consistently above figures produced by serious researchers then unless we have a reason for this population to be especially endowed then some exaggeration must be going on. Of course, by whom and by how much one can only guess and thus you never know if any one individual is telling the truth.

3. Age. I believe, during the adult years, ejaculation distance decreases with advancing age. If Kinsey used a representative sample of the population this would have included some older men who would have disproportionally contributed to teh "dribbler" camp.

4. Conditions. A guy is much more likely to shoot when relaxed at home with some porn on and having edged for an hour or so compared to being in a lab in front a tape measure.
