why adopt me?

My adopted parents take me to ballet and gymnastic class and drop me off. Never come to show. Never celebrate win. Forget my birthday this is not matter to me but American children all boast of party and gift and I am wonder why mine are not care. Never talk to me unless scold for mistake. Why adopt me I can be sad and alone in China not desire travel to America when no one like me. Any one else have experience these? They also want change my name. I not Michelle or any one else just Xiao. Even make change last name. Why?

It sounds like your parents are not appreciating you or your talents. They have no right to change your name at this point. Also, in many legal systems, the child's consent and opinion is considered to be important in name-change cases. So, if they did try to change your name, you could probably plead your case to the judge in favor of keeping your name. It depends on where you live, though.

It does stink that your parents are so lacking of support for you. If you think talking to them about it will help your case, then you could try that.

I only imagine better life many year away maybe possible. Very sad day I think to make life stop now. I can not know how to fit in America life. I have no dream only want sad day to never visit anymore. I also think to leave school and family but no where to live.

Parents have a busy life. I am glad my mom doesn't work and does drive me to swim practice and meets. My dad is too busy with work and has never come watch me. Both work they stay busy. Family has money for lesson this not difficult to pay. Adopt mother do not speak with me never compliment. Adopt father encourage to perform only criticize fail. I believe I only trophy they show friend.

My parents are the same they always say I need to get better grades if I want yo succeed in life. By saying you are a trophy they show friends is another way of saying they are proud of you. In a different way.

Maybe correct however this make me feel like I not person. Family purchase expensive wine and art for show friend. I feel as I just way to prove wealth and not gesture of care. I consider you word maybe I not understand family motive. Thank you new perspective. :)
