I shave regularly and I had the same issues with itchiness the first time. The more you do it the less ichy it will feel. No you can't get an STD just from shaving. Doing it in the shower is fine. My dad shaves his face in the shower so I can't imagine it would be any different. Depends on you how long til it grows back, everybody's different. I think waxing is the only way to go totally smooth but there's no way I'd ever try that. Hope this helps.

1.) Can I get STI/STD I do not believe you can, so don't worry about that

2.) Why does it feel so itchy I don't know why, but it's normal. It should feel normal within a day

3.) no seriously it feels like little leprechauns pulling on my pubes constantly Rest assured there aren't any leprechauns

4.) how long til' it grows back For me it usually takes a week to grow back, and a month or two to grow back fully

5.) i did it in the shower is that ok Yep, should be fine

6.) if you made it here i congratulate you Thank you!

7.) Its all stubbly is it supposed to be like that i thought it goes smooth It will be like that for the first day or two, like with a beard. It should feel smoother in a few days

Hey guys,
So basically i shaved my pubes for the first time today and i have alot of questions....

[QUOTE=ZacTheZebra;3353613]1.) Can I get STI/STD :what:

No you cannot get a STD from shaving your pubes. You can only get a STD by having sex.

2.) Why does it feel so itchy

The reason why it feels that way is that pubic hair is pretty coarse unlike the hair on our heads, and the little hairs can be prickly when they come back out.

3.) no seriously it feels like little leprechauns pulling on my pubes constantly

Yeah, that happens if you shave down to the skin and go bare downstairs. My suggestion is to use cream down there to keep things lubricated or to use an anti-itch ointment both of which you can get from any retailer. Normally, the feeling will go away after one or two weeks when your pubes start regrowing. If this was a major problem, then just trim your pubes with a beard trimmer as opposed to outright shaving them off.

4.) how long til' it grows back

It all depends upon how hairy you are and how old you are. If you are like thirteen, then it might take a month or two for it it come back. If you are pretty far along in puberty and are nearly in your adult body, then pubes can come back as quickly as one or two weeks.

5.) i did it in the shower is that ok

I would say that is all right since the warm water opens up your pores making it easy to shave. With that being said, if you have long pubes, then trim them firstly over your garbage can and shave the remaining pubes in your shower. The reason why you don't want long pubes to go down your drain is that it could clog up the drain which is why you want the longer hairs to go into the trash. Small hairs will not clog up the drain unlike long hairs.

6.) if you made it here i congratulate you

7.) Its all stubbly is it supposed to be like that i thought it goes smooth

Being stubbly is normal, and that is what always happens down there because for the rest of your life you will always have hair there unless you permanently remove it. Because you have hair cells there your pubic area will be stubbly no different than if you shaved your head and it feels stubbly there.

1.) Can I get STI/STD :what: No

2.) Why does it feel so itchy  Did you use shaving foam/cream?

3.) no seriously it feels like little leprechauns pulling on my pubes constantly  Try not to touch it and it should go away

4.) how long til' it grows back  Different for everyone depending how much you had before, and how far into puberty you are

5.) i did it in the shower is that ok Yes but that means that you didn't use shaving foam/cream, right? And that's what's most effective to stop cutting yourself and itching.

6.) if you made it here i congratulate you Thank you, kind sir

7.) Its all stubbly is it supposed to be like that i thought it goes smooth Either it's started to grow back really quickly, or you didn't get a close enough shave. I'm betting on the latter

1.) Can I get STI/STD

No, this can only be achieved through oral, vaginal and anal sex, as well as kissing in some cases.

2.) Why does it feel so itchy

Probably because the area is not used to not having hair, it usually happens when guys start shaving their face too.

3.) no seriously it feels like little leprechauns pulling on my pubes constantly

Lol if it bothers you that much try using something like Aveeno, or other cream for dry skin.

4.) how long til' it grows back

My guess is about a week to start growing again, maybe a month for it to be fully grown.

5.) i did it in the shower is that ok

Yes it's probably the best place to do it.

6.) if you made it here i congratulate you

Haha no worries I'm just here to help

7.) Its all stubbly is it supposed to be like that i thought it goes smooth

It could be that you didn't shave very close, but I don't think it's a big deal.
