First Date

Anyone have good hints for a first date?

Tips passed on from a close friend to me, and now me to you:

Be polite, very important. Make a good first impression and treat him/her nicely/well
If you guys are eating somewhere, make sure to match his/her pace in eating and make sure you wipe your mouth before you speak (if dirty) and do NOT speak with your mouth full, and if you must then cover your mouth
To make conversation, literally just think of anything and roll with it. Try to avoid political discussion, but even if you think "Cheese" then just ask her if she likes cheese, perhaps if she likes games, ask her about her interests to find what you have in common and then talk about it. If you watched a movie talking about it would be a good start
Overall, just be yourself, don't try to act like anybody that you're not. That way you know if she actually likes you, or the person you're pretending to be.
