Shaving pubes with Shower Gel?

Hey guys I bought a Nivea shower gel to bathe as recommended by my dermatologist. But while I was at it, I even shaved my pubes using it, though its not meant for it. But I got a pretty good shave. My question is, can there be any disadvantages if I use this gel instead of a shaving cream? Can it really be bad for my skin?

Yes, if you cut yourself shaving the extra chemicals dont hp the cut and all that i mean you should be fine but personally i use conditioner be cause its more slippery and i can see where im shaving.

Using shower gel should be fine, and some times those products can double as a shaving gel, too. You should be fine to use the product as a shaving gel unless you find some irritation from it.

i agree. if your doc recommended it, should be fine since you wash your groin with it already

yea the shower gel has heaps of chemicals in it if you cut your self it will sting like hell

I don't even use gel and I haven't had any problems so I think you're good

If it didn't cause any problems for it the first time then I don't see why you shouldn't so go for it.

Hmmm... Yeah i certainly noticed the roughness.. Ill go back to saving cream I suppose :D
