ok so i just restarted my pc which happens to be running XP home sp2, and then it says that windows cannot load coz the file \windows\system32\drivers\ntfs.sys is corrupted, so now i have one redundant pc coz i have no XP disc or Reset disk and it wont let me run the built in recovery program. all i can do is get into dos, just about. i have been forced to dust off my old pc running 98 se and i need help like no tomorrow! please help me. save me from 98 se!

ah well dont worry now coz i sorted it, heres how..

Comand Prompt or Dos Mode and type in chdir\ C:\windows\system32\drivers and press enter, then type ren ntfs.sys ntfs.old [this renames the ntfs file making it usesless] then press enter. then type copy C:\windows\i836\ntfs.sys C:\windows\system32\drivers and press enter. File Replaced! and now im back on XP!!!! yayy!!
