I started puberty around when I turned 12. I have hair in both places but I am unaware if I have had a wet dream. When I masturbate it comes out but I dont know if I have had a wet dream.
How do I know if I have had one?
If I haven't had one how much longer will it be?

Not everyone gets them I don't think, and if you masturbate you're less likely, since it's already come out by then. And for knowing if it has happened, when you wake up, either woken up by it or just whenever you get up, it'll be rather obvious I think, it'll be on your clothes if you sleep in any, or on your bed

You'll know if you've had a wet dream because you'll wake up with cum on yourself. I'm 14 and a half too (more like 14 and three quarters but whatever) and I've never had one either. If you're going to get them it will probably be soon though it could be later or you could never get them at all. It varies for everyone.

First of all to get your penis inside a girl and have fun all you need is to be able to get an erection. Assuming by sex "working" you mean potentially getting her pregnant than that means you have to squirt your sperm inside her, i.e. ejaculate. If you can ejaculate when having sex you'd also be able to ejaculate by other means such as masturbation, a blow-job or maybe in a wet dream.

With regard to your sex-ed class, I think some teach wet-dreams as a development milestone because they shy away from discussing masturbation. The development milestone is really starting to ejaculate and some guys discover they have got there through a wet dream but most discover it through masturbating as I did and it seems you did too.

Wet dreams seem very variable from one person to another. There does seem to be a general trend that those who masturbate less have more chance of getting one but it is certainly not as simple as having one when you're "full" down there as people have suggested in the past.
