I'm 16, currently in my Sophomore year of highschool. There's this girl that takes the same bus as me (we used to be in the same classes a couple years back which is how we met), and I really want to ask her out on a date sometime this month. I guess the reason I'm making this post is to ask if it's worth risking a friendship to ask her out. I really like her, and I would love to be in a relationship with her, but I'm also afraid of rejection. How can I overcome my fear of being rejected to ask her out?

If you guys are good friends, then you should go for it! just be honest with her, life is too short to hide your feelings for somebody especially if you really like her. The worst thing that can happen is her saying no, this will probably make things awkward between you guys for a little while but if she's a true friend you should be able to continue your friendship if a relationship doesn't work out. If you're really feeling nervous about it, don't rush it, it's okay to get to know her even better before asking her out because the closer you are with somebody the easier it is to talk about awkward things lol :)
