I am so pissed right now! I'm recuperating at home due to mental health issues and my parents won't leave me alone and keep aksing questions. How do I get them to stop bothering me??? How do I get them to leave me alone???

Say that you need to rest or you want time alone. Sometimes, but its not the best method, I give short answers and it makes them stop talking because they cant get a reply.

It depends on what questions they're asking and when. Maybe they're just making sure you're ok.

Just tell them (politely) you would be better off if you had more space.

I forgot to say that yea you should be polite with them.:P They are probably just concerned about you but don't know the best way to show it.

Simple secret known to few, repeat these words in this exact order: "Please leave me alone for a while, I don't fancy talking right now", be careful, it only works if you say it right.
Don't be an asshole like people have said, just be pleasant and explain.

Oh, I know the feeling. Most it's their attempts to protect me - and I appreciate that - but controlling who I can email and who I can't really winds me up. I've found it helps to sit down with them and explain that as you're getting older you really need some privacy. That all the intrusiveness is getting you down.

I can try, though lately I've been very aggressive and angry a lot.

Aw, sorry to hear that you have to deal with a lack of privacy. That must be very irritating. Hope you manage to get some privacy soon.

Me too! Getting "me time" is important to everyone, not just teenagers.

Of course! I wouldn't put it there if I didn't want people to use it! :P
