Looks and girls

I like this girl called Sian. But other things going on at school have made me wonder whether I am attractive to females. Do they think I'm ugly? I'm not the popular person who everyone wants to go out with I'm sort of an outsider. Sian is a popular girl, loads of friends and attractive. How can I get her to like me?

You can't make anyone like you. You can, however, try talking to her and becoming friends with her. If things work out and she's a nice person, then you can try asking her out. But again, you can't make anyone like you if they don't know you, and even if they do know you.

Still, the same thing applies. You can't like someone you don't know and you can't hate someone you don't know. Just try talking to her.

Best advice has been said already. The single fastest way to make sure you don't get a chance with her is to make yourself obvious to her.
Just try to get to know her as a friend like you would anyone you didn't "like". You'll never know who she REALLY is until you get to know her. I hate to say it so soon, but at least in middle and high school, a lot of the really attractive girls aren't really worth your time. I could be wrong, but in my experience, all of the girls I found really pretty who were also "popular" turned out to be the most shallow people I've ever met. They use their looks to their advantage because they know guys will look and swoon. That attention is all they know.
Point being, you'll never know until you try. But try slowly. Meet her as a friend, and treat it as nothing more than that. You'll be able to tell after a while if she's worth the extra effort

as the others said: you can't, but try it. speak with her, act normal, but stay initially distanced. but same time show interest in her. it's a matter of balance to act.
