In tragic irony the desperate liberal PR campaign to de-link Brussels with terrorism backfired massively when a little over 2 months after its release Brussels was hit by multiple Islamist suicide bombers today, killing at least 34 and injuring hundreds.

It was for tourism... Of course it's meant to lie to you since it's an advert.

Every time when I see such a thread I wonder if yes or no I'm going to waste a few moments of my life answering. (almost) Every time the answer was no but here I am going to make an effort.

What is in the name of Pinkie Pie the purpose of this thread?

You should keep calm a take a cookie.

Who's the "we"?
Your video is in no way showing reality. It uses an ad (which I agree, was transmitting a false message, as all ads do nah?) to shock people and eventuality create some hate to recruit more people in an ideology almost as (if not equally) stupid as ISIS's.

People need to know how these people are a threat to our security, culture and civilization. Something needs to be done. We shouldn't stay, watch our citizens being killed and come up with #pasdamalgam "We should remain united" bla bla bla, until the next attack happens. You'll see. In some days or week, everyone will forget about what happened in Belgium.
When another attack will happen,"#pasdamalgam "We should remain united" and everyone will forget within days.

Madrid,London,Paris,Brussels isn't enought it seems.
We are b*tching about Molenbeek, but how many similar areas are there in Europe ? We do nothing, and even when things explode in front of us,we do nothing.

I still don't know to whom you are referring by "we".

To what level of "our culture" are you referring?

People get killed everyday for various reasons, it is pretty clear to me that the "enemy" here is more an ideology than anything else, something that you can't detect. Migrants or locals, bombs are bombs, do you sincerely think that reducing immigration will prevent terrorist attacks? I mean come on, if someone wants to blow up Versailles a frontier won't gonna stop him.
If you want to stop the Earth from orbiting the Sun you strike the Sun, not the Earth.

Oh sure that if we didn't accept, this mass immigration (Sorry, the mass immigration that our leaders accepted, because nobody asked for our opinion) thousands of people would be still alive...

Pure speculation.

because nobody asked for our opinion
I hear this a lot. If you live in a republic, it's not true. You can vote, that is your opinion. I think it is more that your opinion wasn't important enough to the people in power.

I wonder what we should do? Totally monitoring even the most inconspicuous fart, someone let off?

The best we abolish all equal human rights. Because they mean nothing if we adjust all laws etc on our security.

As Benjamin Franklin said:

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

In my opinion, we've already given up too much.

That's what you get for importing millions of refugees who don't even like yoh, but want your money.

Did Merkel ask anybody to open our borders to the hordes ? No,she did not.
In fact,no politicians asked for our opinion, ever.
They basically don't give a crap because they live in their luxury neighborhoods with dozens of bodyguards and the ordinary citizens should 'accept' and live with millions of aliens.

Things like this should be decided via refferendum. I think the whole point of the republic (lat. res publica- public "thing", in this case public affair) is defeated when the political leadership doesn't hold refferendums on crucial issues not covered by their party's manifest. For example, refferendum on refugees where it would be graded how much should be taken and what demographics. I am fine with the elderly, women and children but with islamist animals that would do anything for welfare, they deserve Syria.

I was confident that the same (alleged related) subjects of refugees and Islam would come up in more threads, when the next European bombing/etc would happen. Here we are again, and I would give the same response as before, unless there was something importantly different about this event (which I am always open to considering), and if I didn't already do it last time.

The repetition of at-least-similar particular events does not mean we have to repeatedly go over whole general viewpoints, at least for the sake of all of us who were here in ROTW/VTDC the last time. I'm more for new angles and points, and for explaining for new members if necessary, than going over everything again, as if this has not happened before.

You are right, she didn't. But your country signed the UN convention on refugees in 1951. So, yes, you guys sent a representative of an elected government to sign it. That was your opinion being shown. So she was just enforcing the law. Get rid of that if you hate the refugees so much.

With that you elevated BMM (Big Momma Merkel) to the status of an emperor of the EU. As soon as possible we should plan the coronation ... at Versailles? And since it, err, she has no descendants, we could determine a little Corsican as its, err, her successor.

Who nowadays needs democracy?
