So I had a wet dream the other day and I am pretty bothered by it because it wasn't of a girl. It was one of my best guy friends. The dream got pretty sexual, does this mean that I'm gay?

No, I don't think so. It is just to do with the hormones in your body and you could just be at a stage where you get aroused easily. Also, you said it was one of your best guy friends, I'd assume you are close to him and that could be a reason why it was him in particular in the dream. I wouldn't worry about it too much, just your subconscious.

No. I don't think so. I think you could be curious. I'm not sure you should be bothered by it. Thinking/dreaming about anybody that way would probably result in a wet dream. No worries!

No, the dream does not make you gay because it is something from your unconscious mind. What makes a person gay is when they see someone of the same sex they wish to get into a relationship with that person and/or wish to do sexual activity with that person. If you have strong sexual feelings towards people of the same gender in your conscious mind, then chances are you are gay which is fine. Only you know what you like and dislike, and you have to look inside of yourself to figure out what you like.

That means nothing about my tendencies sexually. It just means that, in that time and space, you came in your sleep. I would venture to say there's an intermittent disconnect between what you're dreaming about and ejaculation. Some dreams for me have been things that I would have found sexually appealing in the waking world, some not.

Saying that having a wet dream about a guy makes you gay is the same metaphorically as saying that because you were a butterfly in a dream, you'll wake up with wings. Neither make any sense. You are gay or straight based on the gender that you find yourself attracted to in the carnal sense, in the real world

It definitely does not make you gay because you had the dream. Its just the subconscious and hormones working overtime. No worries because you know that you have no type of attraction towards other males, only females -- so dont stress it. Its cool dude, and actually pretty common.

Hope you've been well mate! No, I'd not say so. While some would attribute the contents of dreams towards the subconscious, I'd not say that is the case. For instance, one might have a dream that they were speed driving in a race car, weaving in and out through traffic dangerously - but it doesn't necessarily reflect that they usually have risk taking tendencies. Likewise, if you were experimenting with your dream with a friend, it doesn't necessarily mean that you would want to do that in real life. It just means that a dream with that particular content occurred, that's all.

Hormones do cause us to go haywire, even at the best of times. It really isn't within our control, and cause involuntary physical reactions to the body; whether we are awake or not. Examples would be erections while awake, or wet dreams when asleep. The same would apply to mental thoughts as well. In this regard, I agree with these guys:

I'd not be bothered by it at all, mate. As per your previous posts, it seems like you're pretty much in the thick of your big phase of changes. I'd just register that something like this happened, and just go with the flow, if you get what I mean? ;)

As for one's sexual orientation? Some would argue that it is within one's choice. Many would argue against, and I would too. It's probably a combination of 'nature' (genetics) as well as 'nurture' (social and psychological) factors; and not all of that would be within our realm of control. With these hormone fluxes, it really can be confusing, and anxiety provoking at times. These are the years where one starts building upon multiple facets of their identity, their personality; and gender preference is only one part of that. Give it some time and allow the dust to settle, mate. I'm sure that everything will become clear pretty soon, and you'll probably look back and wonder why you worried about anything at all!

No, it doesn't mean you're gay, your mind can do some weird things. The closeness of you and that guy probably made that dream happen... The only things that can make you gay are
a) NOTHING.
Things that could indicate homosexuality:
A) Physical (sexual) attraction, where you get erections-frequently- over guys, who have their dicks out or if they are in porn
B) Emotional, you are attracted to them, and can fall in love.

Only if the dream comes back regularly would it be a possibility. Attraction to a certain sex usually involves regular attraction not only physically but also emotionally. A good way to determine this is to observe how often you get aroused at the thought of the same sex. But right now from what I can tell you are not homosexual.

I guess I could have worded that better. What I meant was that you can't control what you have a wet dream over so it being about a boy doesn't mean that he actually has any sort of interest in boys.

Nope. After all, your mind is playing with you and you did not do it in real life. Unless if you start having that desire upon waking up and have feelings for him, then yes, you are leaning towards being a bi or gay.
