After 18 years of research, excavations and archaeological analysis, National Geographic grantee David Mearns has successfully discovered one of Vasco da Gama's ships lost at sea in 1503 off the coast of present-day Oman. Together with the Oman Ministry of Heritage and Culture and over 50 crew members they found thousands of artifacts including gold coins, canon balls, ceramics, and a ship's bell that helped them confirm the age and provenance of the ship

Why can't we let this old scrap down there in the sea?

Why can't we let this old scrap down there in the sea?

Why don't we let the titanic sit down at the bottom of the Atlantic?

So we can see where Jack and Rose did the dirty in the back of a 1912 car.

Nah but it's just for history and such.

That's really cool. I remember learning about Vasco de Gama back in middle school.
