Are you a virgin? I am about 16 years old, I do masturbate but I am a virgin while many of my friends are not..
Is it shame being a virgin at 16?

What do you mean "it's a shame to be a virgin"? People who actually rushed it didn't really make the right call.

So no, you'll get your time once, it's nothing wrong.

Absolutely not! I had intercourse with my partner at age 18. I waited until I was with a person I had a strong commitment. Just my thing.

Nah...a bunch of people are virgins way past 16. You just need to wait it out til the time is right. You gotta meet the right person at the right time and on top of that when you're 16 you have to luck out on having a place and time to do it lol

Even if you wait until you're 19, 20, whatever, you'll know when it's the right time. You only lose your virginity once, you should make it be something special.

No, that's a silly question. It's perfectly okay to be a virgin!

I am not a virgin, I just found that special someone a little earlier. Did it last year. No shame in waiting, a good girl is bound to come by.

I am a 21 year old male and am still a virgin. I was in a long term relationship with a religious girl so we never had sex. I am no way religious but we broke up a couple of months ago and am looking at wanting to explore that but I don't actually know how to.
Everyone's different. Nothing wrong.

I'm not a virgin anymore. So I could brag and say yes. But I don't.

Instead I suggest, don't care.

It's better to be a virgin and comfortable with it than have sex way too quickly for no reason other than "everyone else has" :)

its true. I had sex very young. I don't think it was right and it was wrong to do it back then. but I don't regret it because of a lot of reasons. best is not to do it if you are not sure.

Nah. Several of my friends are and its cool if that's your choice. It's certainly nothing to be ashamed of.

I couldn't wait to lose mine when I did but it had a lot to do with the way my older brother treated me. He said he lost his early and he called me "virj" for a while so I know what it's like to be teased about it. And I think some of my friends are lying about not being virgins. After I lost mine I thought, okay its fun and it feels good but it's not really awesome, it's just sex, what is the big deal about? And it complicates the relationship if you do it with your gf.

If you want to wait there's no prob with that.

while I lost mine at 14, it is perfectly acceptable to be a virgin no matter what age you are

It's not a shame being a virgin. I mean, on my perspective, your virginity is the best gift you can give to your future wife/husband or whatever that you're interested in :) I'm 15 and I'm a virgin, and I'm not ashamed of it :)

No,I think it's more of a shame if you rush into it just cause you don't want to be a virgin. Plus 16 is the age of consent in a lot of places, anyway. And yea I am a virgin, tho I define losing virginity as willingly wanting to do it,so stuff like abuse doesn't count. But no one dies a virgin cause life screws everyone.;)

Haha, thanks:P virginity for what it's worth is just a social construct,I mean technically it doesn't matter whether you've done sex or not so....it also depends on what you define as sex like is oral counted?,I think there's a difference between sex and abuse..

I think you're right about that, and your previous post too. I don't think rape or any kind of being forced to have sex counts as losing your virginity. Or abuse.

Honestly, I'm not even a teenager anymore, and I'm still a virgin. And that's my choice, and I'm a-ok with my choice. Am I one of those uber religious going to wait until marriage people? Not really, but if I do wind up waiting and saving it for that one person, I'm absolutely okay with that. If I don't, and I wind up just losing it with a guy I'm not going to be with or whatever, I'm absolutely okay with that as well. I'm just not ready, and when I'm ready, then I'm ready. But until then, I'll keep my virgin status. You have to do you. It doesn't matter what your friends do, or want, or think. When you're ready to explore that part of life, you do it, but never do it before you're ready. Don't let anyone pressure you, or make you think you're ready just because of age. Only you know when you're ready.
