so ive been cutting for quite a while but im trying to stop and besides a few scratches its been 10 days and my arms are clean i dont even have scars yet im still extremely cations about my arms i dont like to let anyone see them i refuse to show them to conselars unless i have to does anyone else feel this way?

i understand you. though i am no where near clean or stopping, my arms only have like 10 hair thick scars that you can't even see unless you know wherer ot look and you push the skin so it wrinkles.

I feel the same way. I cut on my thighs so it may be a little easier for me but I still try to be careful.

I have felt and still do feel the same way. I DO have scars, that are very easily noticeable, so I have to be careful.

When I was self harming I felt the exact same I absolutely hated having to show people, nowadays I consider myself recovered I only cut every so often and I won't show people fresh cuts or healing cuts until they've started to scar over even if it's a few months it's just not something I'm comfortable with.

I do however get both my arms and legs out all the time when it's just scars. It's obvious what they're from but not yet have I ever come across someone who points it out unless I tell them.

I only wear long sleeves around people I know, I don't want my friends to see and feel sorry for me. I hate people's sympathy.
