Just go slow and be gentle, when first starting might take a lil bit to get it stretched, maybe try playing with it to stretch it before sex, that may help, also being properly lubricated could help as well

There's nothing wrong for his foreskin to be like that (mine is similar), however if it is causing him pain then it is best he speaks to the doctor, as I believe they are able to prescribe a cream that helps to loosen it.

If when you have sex again it doesn't hurt him though, then there really is nothing to worry about.

Circumcision should be the last option.

That's actually pretty common for guys who aren't cut. He can stretch it out over time so it won't be painful, like someone else mentioned, for play will help with that. And as you guys do more sexual things, his ability to last longer will get better, and give you guys more time to work that out. But yeah, I also agree circumsision should be that last resort in my opinion
