ideal first car

hey guys what do you think would be a great first car? im saving up money to get a good car but idk haha

dodge dart
Honda civic
I live in florida so I don't really need an off-road capable car or one that's good for moutains haha so if you have anymore suggestions I would greatly appreciate it :)

*ALSO* Do not buy a Hyundai or Kia before the year of 2007. Before then, the engines were incredibly unreliable and had electrical issues. After 07 you should be fine though.

Get something big like a truck or fullsize SUV since they'd be safer in an accident, I was recently in an accident in my fullsize blazer (t boned) and all I need is a new fender the other vehicle had to be towed and that was a small pickup. If I was in something small like any of the cars you are looking into it would've been totaled.

If I were you, I'd probably get something small and economic... like 1999 mini cooper (Mk 7 I believe). Found one for 6 grand, only 19.000 miles on the clock. The best part is that it still looks like a classic mini from the 60's. For my 2nd choice of cheap and cheerful car, I'd take the VW Golf Mk1 GTI. Still quite economic, quick, fun, classic. And it costs about the same as the mini. (Yes, I do like old classic hot hatches lol)

I can probably find a Honda CR-V for 14k (already have one but have found various for that price) which is more than affordable, so I'd go with that. If I want a CAR however I'd get a 2003 Renault Megane or a Mazda 3.

For me, I'd have either a Volvo 242 turbo (1.6ltr/1600cc) or a Saab 9-3 Aero(similar specs to the Volvo). I like the Volvo more though
