I can't tell if this girl in class likes me

I've made friend's with a girl from Germany in my class. I ended up sitting next to her on the first day not knowing she was foreign and I ended up getting to know her. I almost always get to class before her and she always sits next to me and when I come late, she sits in the same spot next to where I always sit (not really saying that's a sign she likes me.

But I talk to her all the time before class and we always alternate with starting conversations. Sometimes I do make her laugh and I can tell she's pretty comfortable sitting and talking next to me. She often makes very good eye contact with me when I speak and sometimes kind of leans really close towards me during class (since we sit at rows of tables). By leaning towards me, I mean she leans to left pretty close and kind of holds her chin up while listening in class. I mean, if I'm sitting next to a girl I don't like, I wouldn't necessarily lean close to her at all.

I really don't know what to do at this point and I can't tell if she likes me or not. Maybe there are other signs I'm missing that could tell me she does or doesn't like me that I'm missing. I noticed she sometimes mimics my postures and things I do, like if I sit back with my arms folded or I twirl my pen around.

I hate to like a girl a lot and then end up finding out she doesn't like me after months of trying to read her, so can I have some help from anyone?

Ask her if she likes anyone (but do it casually. Like slide it into a conversation), if she's dated in the past, etc. Something will seem off off if she does like you. Don't be a creep about it tho lol. If she seems uncomfortable or anything just lay off

Hmm it's hard to tell if she's close to you out of comfort and security or if there's a romantic spark there.

I'd say hang outside of class and flirt there and see what happens.

Ok idk much but with my last gf we were friends for a long time and one day we started playing truth or dare, i asked her she liked after 20 mins of playing and she gave me a weird look and covered her face, i thought i went too far or something but turned out she liked me and we started dating, and also dont just wrap your arm around her or touch her randomly. What i do because im a dumbass is when im with friends just hit on every girl i see (sit next to them put my arm around them, rest my head on them, ect) and most will laugh some will just rest their head on me or hug me. ive never had an actual rejection from this but it is not smart because do it to the wrong person and you can get charged. I suggest becoming good friends with her, finding out if she is single or liking someone if she says yes but doesnt say who, it could be you :) then if its all good just sit close to her, hang out after school, maybe go out to get food (nothing classy just like maccas or some shit, just lay down or sit up with her and maybe get a bit closer or if your walking together maybe hold her hand but only if you really think she likes you.
