I'm taking the opportunity to stay in and avoid the travel/logistic/people mess that will be the parade, general closure of most stuff, and lots of lights and noise. I'm by no means pessimistic, I just enjoy it better when I can watch from a distance.

It's basically a prequel weekend for me :P .

Wait.. St Patrick s day is a bank holiday? Of course it's the patron saint of Ireland. Us english people should get the 23rd April of as well then (st Georges day)

I know people that work for subsidiaries of foreign (U.S.) firms that are in tommorow.

Generally though this is correct.

My job doesn't slow down or shut for today, I just happened to be off today either way. Happy St. Patrick's Day anyway.

My family usually does the St. Patrick's Day traditions and celebrates them on St. Urho's Day, but happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
