Should I still use a condom? Why?

There would be no way of the other person having STDs if they are a virgin... I mean it's in the name, "Sexually Transmitted Disease". But yes, you should still use a condom.

You can not get an STD or HIV if the other person does not have it. They are a virgin, therefore, they do not have it. I would use a condom just so you can practice safe sex.

If the person's mother was HIV positive, they could be born with it. But other than that, a virgin couldn't carry the disease. Of course, there are pregnancy risks. You might also want to think about that ... And condoms reduce the likelihood of contracting an STD but don't guarantee it

Basically what everyone else said. Unless their mother is HIV+ and it was transmitted to your partner, yes, you can get HIV from them. But other than that, you shouldn't get any STD's from someone who's never had sex before. But you should still use a condom.

You don't know if they could have gotten something from their mothers. It's intuitive to think there's no risk involved, but there really is. Talk to your partner about this before anything else happens. It might be awkward, but it's the right and mature thing to do.

Condoms and birth control should ALWAYS be used no matter what.

So just condoms then.
The term is actually STI (infection not disease), some of which are inheritable and may not have presented symptoms (your partner may not be aware).
Having said that, the chances of infection are unlikely besides the basics (genital warts/cold sore type affairs). I'd say for straight couples a baby would be more of an issue.
For anal sex a condom should always been used, for the same reason you shouldn't touch that area and then touch your bits at the front. That bacteria is Not meant to be spread, and can cause several (non-STI related) infections, the least of which are UTI's. Condoms also would theoretically make it easier (I'm guessing here).
So yeah, use a condom.

depends on your definition of virgin- I mean if a person who is a virgin gave a bj then they might have an std or sti- or if they haven't done anything but made out with someone who has herpes they can get it. regardless use protection, you are not ready to be a dad at 16 and that's a possibility if you're having sex

I figured since I answered another one of your posts about that. I just noted birth control because it could be useful to someone else viewing this thread. I wasn't assuming you were straight.

A lot of people here are actually spreading false information. A person can still be a virgin and have an STI. Children are born every single day with STI's like HIV because their birth mother contracted it before. However, it is unlikely though, so i think it's safe to assume that most virgins don't have STI's.

I'd like to add that some (perhaps all) STDs can be spread through genital contact in general and not just sex, so while someone may be a virgin, that doesn't necessarily mean they don't have any STDs.
You should always wear a condom just to be safe.
