After a few more of u guys post I will
tell u all. I was an exchange student in
Brisbane for six months and came across
a lot of teen slang both from guys and girls.
Girls were after me for a "shafting" and
said that they had a "jimmy hat".

Can confirm, this isn't a term Aussies use. To me, you could be referring to sex with fat or skinny people, referencing drugs or even alcohol. But, I live in a fairly low socio economic area, and never have I ever heard those terms. I think they were taking the mickey out of you tbh, it's what I would have done :P

No one talks like this. You have encountered the great Australian tradition of making shit up to confuse foreigners (especially Americans)

No one talks like this.

after all, it's explained on urbandictionary.com.

"Possibly related to the British phrase to "crack one off", to masturbate successfully."

I know "shafting" is used in British English as well (London; a friend from there told me). I asked my gf about the other words (she's Aussie) and she just knew "jimmy hat" (condom).

for those wondering, he's asking if you ever get hard ons. The answer from everyone should be a unanimous "yes"
