I have a rapid heart rate and breathing (not shortness of breathing, just slight difficulty).
Could this just be of nervousness or something more serious… I have a heap of stress and difficulties with my parents judging me and also have had bullying problems at school which has led to me minimising the amount of food I consume. Could this have led to this problem… how do you think I can avoid it.

If you are overweight (just if) then that could cause breathing and heartrate problems.
Otherwise you may have some kind of asthma, or you just get very nervous easily.
Depends on how bad it gets.

Sounds like classic anxiety / panic attack. I have problems with that and i have to keep my electrolytes in balance to help prevent it, so I drink gatorade and try to maintain three regular meals a day, I know, its hard to want to eat when you feel that way. Sleep is also important. I know its hard to sleep too. That vicious cycle thing. You really should consult with a doctor on this to help you out.

You should go to the doctor for a more accurate answer.

Panic attack. You should see someone about it. I have them, sometimes they can be really scary.

I don't understand how it could be a panic attack. I haven't been panicking about anything. I'm not overweight, I have a reasonable weight with my parents saying i'm not eating enough.
What things causes a panic attack?

Here is a good article on Panic Disorder. (http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/panic-attacks/basics/definition/con-20020825) I get the symptoms you are talking about when I feel fine and nothing is going wrong. It can be real sudden like you feel like you are having a heart attack or it can chronic and steady with rapid heartbeat and tightness in the chest. Nothing dangerous really, just a lousy thing to have.

Panic attacks, sometimes you don't know what triggers them.
How long does your feeling last?
"Panic attacks are truly terrifying and can happen without warning or reason, causing sudden fear and extreme nervousness for 10 minutes or more. Physical symptoms intensify the attack: sweating, racing heart, rapid pulse, feeling faint or as if one is choking, and-perhaps worst of all-the sense of "going crazy."

Yeah it could be anything from a blood pressure issue or blood sugar all the way up to a panic attack. Best to let ur DR or school nurse know.

Panic attacks are a hard process. I had one and it was horrible. Sleep, pain relief and food helped me. Tell me if any of this helps

I could be a sign of irregular heartbeat better know as arterial fibrillation .
Not life threatening untill the older years. A-Fib does increases a chance of a stroke in your later years if you continue to have a irregular heartbeat. But don't take my word for it you still see your doctor.

Cut out caffeine and allergy medications to start. :D
Also, stress and anxiety can trigger panic or anxiety attacks, like many other people have stated. When I have one of these my heart thuds like crazy, I feel like I'm choking, and feel the need for water and space desperately. Food helps sometimes afterwards too.

I agree with both of these. It might be a panic attack, but I experience what you're experiencing just at random times, it has put me on medical leave from work, and is NOT a panic attack for me- my panic attacks are very severe, and I can feel mental symptoms as well as physical symptoms. These episodes where I am mentally feeling fine, but have palpitations/rapid pulse/breathing difficulty come with low blood pressure (usually), syncopal episodes (passing out) or blackouts, loss of vision, extreme weakness and loss of coordination, and extreme dizziness.
They're going to run tests on me to figure out why, but they're hella slow about it, and it makes me wonder if I'm going to be on house arrest forever... (I'm 17, but my mom won't let my out of the house unless she's with me. She's also disabled and has been sick with some sort of virus for the past several weeks, so I've gone NOWHERE, and it's driving me INSANE. I want my freedom back! Hurry up, doctors!)
Do any of those symptoms sound familiar to you?

Cut out caffeine
This. i recently got sick a few weeks back. it wasn't apparent until i realized i had a hyper-sensitivity to caffeine. I had a chocolate bar for breakfast, for my heart racing, hands clammy, I couldn't focus and I kind of felt like vomiting. I had to go home sick and avoid caffeine for like a week

You might have a problem with your heart. I would talk to your doctor about what's going on.
