So I'm hosting a German exchange student this month and I've always expected German guys to be really hot but when I found out who I was paired with... They are not exactly good looking. I feel so terrible and awful when I say that but the truth is I'm feeling really weird about it now and I just need some encouragement or advice on how to get past this. So can anyone give any advice or anything? Thanks

I started crushing on this one kid who wasn't all that good looking, but he had an awesome personality, sense of humor and he is a really good baseball player. So I think you need to wait and get to know the whole person before you pass judgement just on his looks and/or a picture.

Just move past it, it's not a big deal. Looks shouldn't matter, unless you were planning on banging the guy.

Looks aren't everything. Ik in this day and age things that dont appeal to the eye are not good

You kinda set yourself up because you had a preconceived idea of what you were expecting and now you are disappointed because you were wrong. The best advice anyone could give you would be to get to know him as a person and see who and how he really is before you dismiss him completely.

Just a Guy . It's not because he's not handsome, that he's not a nice guy. To me it seems you were hoping to have something going with this guy. He's an exchange student, he won't stay forever. The outside should not matter, if a person is ugly on the outside, but nice on the inside, I see no problem here. Just try to make the best out of it.
