Anyone ever go to a nude beach? What is it like? Where did you go? Are they really naked naked or just kind of naked? Do you have to be naked?

I have never been to a nude beach, but I have researched them and from what I understand most nude beaches are clothing optional and you dont have to be completely naked if you arent comfortable, so there will be people in various stages of undress if not completely nude.

went to a clothing optional resort. As stated clothing was optional except at meal time. Most people were totally naked in pool, spa, lounging around, etc. Men, women, children of all ages, shapes and sizes. Most people were very friendly. Clothing did not seem to be an issue and after a few hours it seemed pretty normal. Enjoyed it and we plan to go back this summer.

Never been to a nudist beach, just a nudist resort. I think it's safer in a nudist resort. My friend however who took me with his family to a nudist resort has been to nudist beaches in Europe before. He told me that everyone at the beaches are nude, men women and kids and that it's a lot of fun.

yes theres one near my house and its just like a normal beach but everyone is naked or semi naked and if your lucky you see someone hot lol the first 10 mins or so are awkward then you forget that your naked and everything is normal and no you dont have to be naked its optional

I haven't gone to one but would totally like to. In my state, there is a ranch that's a nude ranch with a pool and hiking trails and horse rides. I'd like to try it sometime

To be honest, I'm not sure. I went to a beach in Canada once that had some naked people on it, and no one was bothering them, so I'm gonna guess it was clothing optional.

i've been to a resort twice with my family. first time it was a little scary being nude in front of strangers of all ages but that lasted literally a couple of minutes. me and my brother and our friends go nude on a beach near where we live, illegally tho. we cut through a state park to get to it. that's a lot of fun, swimming and sunning nude with your buds.

Last summer I was on the beach with my friends and there was a ton of jelly fish so we moved to a calmer place on the beach about 200 meters from where we were. only after being in the sea for 15 minutes we noticed that people were staring at us and we noticed it everyone was nude and we weren't... so we left. Sooo yeah I've been to one but not intentionally and don't plan on it either

At a bathing lake close to my place there is a clothing optional area. My friends and I go there quite often. It is loads of fun and no one really cares how many clothes you are wearing actually.
To be honest: I would feel weird wearing more than my wrist watch there because this way you are "the odd one out". Like the nude person at a regular beach :D

been to many with family. not as wild as many think, mostly older people. there are younger groups there at certain times and it can be fun. everyone is really laid back and non-judgemental. no issues with body shape/size.

I like it. Actually, when I tried it first time (I was 12) it was so beautiful feeling - to be free from any clothes. It was a bit hard to reassure myself to undress in front of "all that strangers", but I did it, and after some time I really loved it. So I decided not to wear swimsuit anymore, and later my parents allowed me to be nude at home. It was not really easy, and I used some "tricks" to reassure them. They're not nudists, but very open-minded people for our conservative country.

Now I prefer a clothes-optional beach, because on the nudist beaches in my city nudists are like a "community", and I go to a beach to swim and sunbath, not to communicate and make new friends. Also on the clothes-optional beach my non-nudist friends can join me.

it's like a regular beach. if you expect see really attractive, fit people, you'll be disappointed. same people you see every where just without their clothes on. i will say after a few minutes, if it's the right type of place, you probably won't care you and everyone else is nude which is what makes the experience great.

My family goes to a nude beach and resorts. It is ok. You get used to it. Most people are completely naked. Some wear towels or women might wear bikini bottoms. Yes at some places you have to be completely nude. Depends on the rules for that resort.

I totally understand not preferring to be naked around creepy guys (and old people too to some lesser degree) however the truest essence of being nude imo is that it doesn't matter what other people look like nude, it just matters that it feels good to be without clothes (in the sun especially). I'm not gonna lie and say it's not awesome to see the your age range of the opposite sex naked but I surprised myself when I actually met cool people at nude beaches that were much older than me and sometimes not even attractive.

dude it was pretty awesome. two of us were pretty nervous at first. but once we dropped our suits and jumped in. it was amazing. best part was laying in the sun and totally relaxing. there were other older people around, but we found a kinda private spot. we ended up going a bunch last summer. looking forward to spring coming back around. :D

When the weather is good enough (and that's not too often around here..) I sometimes do go to a nude beach at a lake nearby. It's pretty laid back and usually there are families with small children and older couples there.
People do tell people who are just there to gaze at the naked people to go away. That's the best thing about this nude area.

Generally people condone teens to wear something, because of, you know, body perception and self awareness issues and all that. But try to make an effort to get nude. When you've made that first step of taking it all off, it won't take you 5 minutes to do whatever you do at a textile beach.

Mind you: if you're only going to a nude beach to see other people naked, you're not welcome. If you go there because of the atmosphere and adhere to the (unwritten) rules you will be welcomed by anyone.

Lol I thought you were gonna say you went with your ehole family. Which isn't weird if your family were nudists or you were from Europe where nude beaches were common. But it would be weird for the average American family. Did your parents know you guys went beforehand or did they ever find out? What did you think of the experience?

When the weather is good enough (and that's not too often around here..) I sometimes do go to a nude beach at a lake nearby. It's pretty laid back and usually there are families with small children and older couples there.
People do tell people who are just there to gaze at the naked people to go away. That's the best thing about this nude area.

Fully clothed people will usually be asked to either strip or leave. I've never seen fully clothed people on the nude beaches where I went though (except for when they just arrived or are about to leave obviously).

That's a really good idea about telling my parents about "my friend" and seeing how they react. I will do that. I have to wait a year and a half until I graduate though.

When I went to the nude club I couldn't understand why a couple girl and boy teens were partly clothed. They were members too not guests like most of the other teens/young adults. I guess even nudists can be shy around strangers. Weird.

I should add that I did go skinny-dipping last summer after dark in a friend's backyard pool. We all dared each other to take our trunks off, and we all did. I got hard almost instantly, ans did just one of my friends. And I stayed rock hard the whole time I swam nude.

Well if your intention of going to a nude beach is to see people your age naked then you can go and block out the old and fat people out and just look at fit and people your age. And if you don't want to look at people period you can just go by yourself and enjoy the sun and water on your skin. It feels good. Finally imo it's good to go and learn about body image. Appreciate your body whether it's perfct or not and appreciate other people whether they have perfect bodies or not.

It was embarrassing at first, but when you realize that most of these people are from other places and you will never see them again, you kind of relax. There are usually more older people or families with younger kids, at least at the places I have gone. And they are safe from predators and other people with bad intentions usually.

If a train passed they all knew pretty much where you were going lol. That doesn't even count the 20 minute car ride that wasn't too bad for me. And if we wanted to go to the naked outdoor hot springs/ hot tubs it was over an hour drive then an hour plus hiking up this big ass mountain lol. Where I live now I have to drive an hour and walk about half a mile. The good thing is you don't have nearly as many fat nudists at these places as usual nudist places. But you really have to like being nude to put that much effort into it. It's not always worth it. The hot springs totally are tho!

Haha, that's pretty funny. I guess with that much hiking and walking to get there a person would have to be in pretty good shape. Probably a good idea. Seeing the guts and beer bellies on some of the naturists is kinda gross.
