Hi folks.
So I got a very unpleasant issue with The Sims 4. There regularly are lags, the screen freezes for just a second every 10 seconds or something like that.
It can't be the hardware, I run the game in ultra with the auto-detection system and the same issue happens with the lowest settings.
I installed the add-on "Get together" hoping it will fix the problem by an included patch or something like that. Unfortunately it didn't.
Anyone can help me?
PS: For certain reasons I can't download the patches trough Origin.

Do you have custom content?

I installed "Get To Work" and "Get Together" but the lags appeared before that.

*scratches head* Have you installed any mods? (from sites like ModTheSims)

Well, EA does have a history of releasing broken, half-assed games ridden with bugs and performance issues. Are your graphics drivers up to date? Do you play on a laptop?
Btw - Origin is the devil's work.

On what hardware do you play? It might be an outside source too like a virus or malware that installed itself on your computer. It might also be lack of space etc.

An Intel Core i7 6600HQ, a GTX 970M and 16 GB of RAM and I know everything that is on my computer, my system is cleaner than Heaven haha.

Ok, since you play on a laptop, do you also have a proper cooling pad? Overheating is bad for your game's performance (and laptop in general).

It can't be overheating, my cooling system is very efficient. 64°c on Fallout 4 haha.
