Obama has announced Brian Sandoval (R-NV) as the replacement for Justice Scalia. Sandoval has served as governor of Nevada and as a judge before. He is also popular in his state. This is a tact move by Obama because he shares a lot of the sand views when it comes to social issues. Because he is a Republican, Obama is also seeing how far Congress will go to "reject anyone nominated before January." Senate minority leader Reid is in accordance, and vetting has begun.

What is your opinion on this new development?

I think it is nice because he, I believe would be another swing vote on the bench. So in some cases, a somewhat progressive case could go 6-3 in favor of the left. But since they are also still Republicans, it could also go 5-4 in favor of the right as it has been.

Yes. If the guy is like Kennedy it's probably best.

I think it is a good compromise between both parties. It's something I think is not seen enough in many ways.

Rumors only....regardless never doubt the butthurt of the Republican Party right now.

Even establishment republicans underestimated the dark side of politics, and look at their primary hopefuls now. All are in the shadow of Trump, because the anger flows through the party members, and now their freaking out.

It is, I just picked an older story. Sorry about that. Usually I hear the news on radio or Twitter then search it to get more info on what is actually happening. The story is from Monday; the White House confirmed it on Wednesday.

EDIT: Sandoval got cold feet and is no longer in consideration.
