My brother has a girlfriend, but he has been flirting a lot with my best friend. She likes him too which puts me in a weird spot. I know its selfish but I don't want to see them hook up. My brother isn't a bad guy but if he dumps his girlfriend and ends up with my friend I know I am going to hate it...Am I being awful?

Nah, that's just a usual thing reacting so or such.

The real question is whether you will cope with this situation, if your friend ends up with your bro.

Well you could point out that a guy who cheats on his current girlfriend, will always be looking to cheat on the next, and the next... Sounds like he's a jerk. Pointing this out may sabotage anything that has started.

I think you are a tad bit jealous. Not because you want a relationship with her or anything like that, but because you feel it would interfere with your current relationship with your friend. It happens to the best of us and is common in most best friend type relationships. Its normal.

If they become a couple just make up your mind that you'll stay friends with her before and after your brother is with her.

It depends how much they like each other. If they genuinely have feelings for each other, it's selfish (but completely normal) for you to object. If they just want to hook up of find each other attractive, it's selfish of them not to consider your feelings. Think about what is best for them.

I think it's weird for her to date him, honestly. I would be absolutely crushed if I my brother dated my best friend because he should be no where near my best friend. If my sister did, I would be more angry but more like, how dare my best friend get near my sister. It's okay to be protective; it's only natural. But also, don't forget to look what's in their best interest.
