So I've heard a lot of girls saying that having bigger breasts is bad because they can give back pain (depending on how big they are), they make shopping for clothes difficult etc. Others say that it's difficult/a problem because guys stare at you more.

Are these problems true, or am I just hearing biased information? Or is having bigger breasts actually a positive?

I have a friend whose older sister had a breast reduction when she was like 17 because she had back problems from big boobs. She couldn't play sports or even run with them. Now she's doing better is back to being active.
So yes it's a real issue.

Oh wow. That sounds rough. May I ask, how big were they?

I've heard of having back issues being a problem. Adding core strength (abdominals, sides, lumbar region) can help with back pain.

Back pain, they make physical activity irritating, going commando is basically not an option, you automatically have to wear larger clothes (and sometimes even then they don't fit right- certain styles of top are just out of the question), etc

Like, they're not the worst thing in the world to possess, but they're irritating

One of my teammates (swim team) is large chested, she hates it. Aside from unwanted attention she says they always get in the way and sports bras are crazy uncomfortable. Also, this isn't true for everyone, but for me they get super tender around my period. Boobs are kinda the worst.

Some of my classmates are quite large breasted and they and they hate it, they bother them when doing PE / Sports, the back pain thing that is also an issue. Also they got teased when younger and yes they can attract unwanted attention.
For me a "B" or "C" cup would be enough for me.

My boobs are pretty much the smallest among girls in my year. But honestly, I prefer that because they don't get in the way of me doing stuff that I enjoy

Sorry your friend and you have to go though that. I thought I wanted big boobs, but not so much anymore...

Two of my friends had to get reductions. And a third started working out more so her core and back muscles are strong enough to support her breasts. When I am around her I notice that she always gets lots of attention (some of it probably unwanted)

um I am very confused by this because all of my female relatives have larger chests and so does my bff. And none have ever had that problem maybe it's more to do with having a weak back. Or maybe as in having large breasts you're meaning overweight? Idk.

I love my breasts but it is difficult running and sometimes finding a bathing suit that fits well can be a challenge.

Sadly, a lot of these problems are true.

Doing most workout activities requires that "the girls" be firmly wrapped up in a tight cage, with little freedom to move. Otherwise, your shoulders, neck, and back will (and do) suffer. When I was a B, I had few problems with being free. When I graduated to a C, the neck and shoulders started complaining if I was allowing freedom more than a couple of hours. After that -- well. Yeah.

Even "normal" activities require good support. However, keeping good muscle tone in your upper body is (as one poster noted) very helpful. I was a swimmer for many years, and grew up playing racquet sports (and to some extent, still do) so with larger breasts, I think it's helped me build both stamina for when I want to have some freedom up top, and it's minimized my other soreness issues. I do still have those days, though, that I'm going to be sore no matter what. Grr.

I wouldn't say having big breasts is bad, but there are definitely some disadvantages. I'd consider myself to have larger breasts especially compared to the rest of my body. I haven't encountered back problems yet, but they do feel heavy sometimes. Shopping is pretty hard especially for bras. I have a small band size and large cup size, so it's hard to find bras in those sizes, especially nice looking ones. If I want to get nice lingerie I either get lucky or end up buying cup sizes smaller, which isn't ideal for support or coverage. Also anything I wear looks sexual, unless its loose or bigger clothing. This leads to guys and girls staring more. Sometimes its nice to get the attention, but its sometimes excessive. Doing any kind of physical activity is impossible if you don't have the right support. My breasts are quite firm, which makes going braless easier, but I have a friend who's breasts sag a little and they just go everywhere. Despite all that there are still advantages and even though there are times I wish they would be smaller, I don't think I would even consider having smaller ones.

I can promise you, they come with back pain, and most cute bras won't fit, and you can't really run or jump unless you have a sports bra
