I broke up with a girl I've been seeing for a few years, around a month ago, and I simply can't move on, I've tried every distraction possible, but at the end of the day I can't stop thinking about her :/ Any advice?

Could you please give more details? Why did you broke up with her?

Sorry to hear that bro. It WILL take time.

Sadness from a breakup comes because when you're with the same girl for a long time, you begin to rely on her for positive emotions. You relish your time together, you do things that makes you happy, she loves you etc. She becomes a big part of what makes you happy in life and over time you start to rely on her for positive emotions (don't worry this is normal).

When you breakup you lose that source of happiness and the journey to recovery comes when you regain the ability to self generate happiness.

Focusing on things that make you happy -friends, hobbies, passion and other stuff you did when you were single like meeting girls- help you re-establish your eco system of happiness without your ex.

It will take time but the faster you re-establish your eco system of happiness, the faster the recovery. I know a guy who is still getting over a breakup and it happend 8 months ago. What the fuck, do you know why?
He never rebuilt himself after the breakup so he will probably continue to suffer.

Hope this helps buddy :)

Try not to think about her for 21 days, that way you will be over her and hopefully moved on.
