You don't always get a wet dream. Some people on here that I know are a lot older and haven't had one. If you masturbate less often, you are more likely to have a wet dream.

you may never have one, just depends on your body, if u masturbate a lot, when u started masturbating and stuff like that. even if you masturbate you may still have wet dreams, it all depends on your body, don't stress if you haven't had one its not bad, I rather not have to wake up to sticky messy shorts or sheets.
I masturbate once a day or when I can.

I suppose it depends on whether you particularly want one.

As others have said, not everyone has wet dreams. I am one of those who has never had one.

It used to be thought that wet dreams happened when so much semen had built up inside you from not having ejaculated any other way that the wet dream was like a kind of safety valve to let it out. We now know it is not as simple as that because some people continue to have wet dreams despite masturbating frequently and others can abstain from any other kind of ejaculation for weeks and still not have one. Even so there does seem to be a link - those who masturbate reasonably frequently are less likely to have wet dreams.

Because some sex-ed/puberty literature mentions wet dreams but fails to mention masturbation that can give the impression that a wet dream is a development milestone or right of passage. The real development milestone is becoming able to ejaculate and it doesn't matter how you discover you have reached that, whether through masturbation or a wet dream.

Of course, you may decide it is just an experience you want to have for the sake of having the experience. That's up to you. Some people say they enjoy them, others are annoyed about the mess.

Some boys have wet dreams and some boys dont; some happen early in puberty and some happen later in puberty - if in puberty at all; its a coin toss for you, its either going to happen for you at some point or its not, you just have to wait and see.
