Everyone wants to spend time with themselves sometimes, introverts experience it more often than most.

^This.

Also, not sure if I qualify to post here as I am an only child, but I think I kinda get that since I've got a pretty big family. Although I really like spending time with family, I love being able to hang out and do stuff by myself. Introverts need that time and space and it's perfectly okay. Just make sure you always balance alone time, with time spent alongside people in your circle of family and friends. Balance is important, I don't want that alone time becoming a main thing in your life. As long as you are happy with whoever you hang out with, whether it's yourself or a family member, that's what's important.

But gee, a family of 8 must get pretty chaotic sometimes! ~

There's a difference between solitude and loneliness. I personally like my solitude and time spent away from everyone. My loneliness is a different issue that's not as pleasant.

I think you have nothing to worry about. Solitude is good.

Hope I was of help
