So, after 6 years of trying to pursue relationships at my own school of 300 people, it has been suggested that I try to hang out with people from the public highschool in my town, or whatever, just meet new people.
This is difficult for me to imagine, seeing as how I left the public school system on purpose because of the people, most of whom I considered jerks, as well as the fact that I have 0 (zero) friends or acquaintances at the public Highschool. To make matters worse, I am a junior in highschool, but when most people guess my age, they guess 13 or 14, not 16. I am overweight, but not really a lot. Hefty, you could say. I like (extremely) intellegent conversation, and have a lot of anti-materialistic views and liberal views that in my experience are not common in Middle TN public highschools, so finding someone who is both attracted to me, whom I am attracted too, and I can carry on a good conversation with seems almost impossible. Not to mention I have no idea where or how to even meet people.
So, I guess what I am trying to ask here, is where do I start. I guess it would rely pretty heavily on first impressions and making good social connections, etc. idk, what do you guys think?
