I've only had one relationship so far in my 16 yrs (sad I know) and it failed horribly due to the other boy attempting to manipulate me and then spreading it around school. However despite what he did, I still find him attractive and I am jealous of his relationship but realise that I need to move on. Are there any easy ways for me to get over this quickly?

Let me tell you a story I have never told on here I think.

When I was 14 I started dating a girl that I had like for a long time. We dated for about 5 months and it was great but I fucked up and she broke up with me. I felt terrible for a long time, until I started talking to her again. The feelings were still there from both sides so I decided to ask her if she wanted to get back together (this was about 6 months after we broke up), but just before I wanted to ask she told me (out of the blue) that she had a boyfriend and nobody knew yet except me.

To this day they are still together and I still regret what I did because I still want to be with her.... But I moved on.

moving on is one of the hardest things to do. There are no easy ways to move on. You need to distract yourself. Go out to parties, meet new people, start painting (IDK?), start playing volleyball, do stuff. Laying around on your bed thinking about him every day, looking at his instagram pictures with his new partner is not going to give you a chance to move on. Realize that you can't change what happened in the past and can only influence what YOU do tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.

This sounded way too Dr. Phil...

This is just my experience by the way. Others might find that what I said is BS and do have an easy way to get over someone. I just don't know about it yet I guess.

The one thing that has helped me in the past is to keep busy. Keep your friends close, and definitely talk to them about things if you need to. But keeping busy, whether that be with work, or school, or hobbies...or just having fun with the other people close to you...that helped me the most.

I definitely agree that you should keep busy.

To highlight on this, try to not allow it to bother you. Think about other things and try to keep your head up.

Thanks for the advice, it means a lot.
