Ok so here's my story. Basically I've known I liked girls since I was like age 12 but now I'm friends with a lot of guys on social media. Sometimes at night they take selfies with no shirts on and it turns me on. But I'm also attracted to girls emotionally and I would never date a guy. Can anyone help

How old are you? Sounds like hormones and/or curiosity.

I think you may be confused because you've been brought up to think of people as either straight or gay but there is a whole spectrum. Check out this YouGov survey (https://yougov.co.uk/news/2015/08/16/half-young-not-heterosexual/) which mentions the Kinsey scale and concludes that, increasingly, people are recognising they are not at one of the extremes.

If your romantic attraction and most of your sexual attraction is to girls, but you are aware of some degree of sexual attraction to other guys then that probably makes you a 1 on the Kinsey scale in which case you are in good company - 22% of young people in that survey identified as a 1.

I think it's natural to admire beauty when we see it.

Well, I used to be in the same position as you: I found some guys attractive, but assumed I was straight, and thus never wanted to be in a relationship with a guy. But over time, I gave up labeling myself, and just tried to keep an open mind. Over time, more and more, I realised that I really liked guys. A year after first questioning my sexuality, I came to the conclusion that I was bi. My best advice is to not worry about labels for the time being, and instead keep an open mind, and let experience help guide you. Work out what you like, and see what you enjoy, and you'll soon find out what you think.

Also, as Hermes says, more and more young people are no longer just 'straight' or 'gay', but in fact, 1 in 2 are somewhere in between (Source) (https://yougov.co.uk/news/2015/08/16/half-young-not-heterosexual/).

But ultimately, it just takes a while to work out who you are. Good luck.
