Where I'm from (NorCal) NOBODY showers nude after swim practice or water polo, and most just won't shower after PE or some land sport, I was wondering if this was just a regional thing or if this was the case everywhere. I'm in 10th grade btw

At school no one showers but, a lot of people do at the rec. The people who do at the rec center are older. I think it is a generational thing.

it is def more generational in some regards, but I know our school has us shower after pe and sports and stuff, which I am grateful they do. I would hate going to class stinking it up. it is not as common as it was a generation ago though

dunno about the regional thing....im in Australia n ive seen naked guys of all ages my whole life. swimming pool changerooms, holiday showerblocks, gym, school, everywhere. friends houses, my house....EVERYWHERE..... its actually compulsary at my school 2 shower after P.E n the only time i ever saw n e thing awkward is if sum1 doesnt get nude in the showers hehe..... ive seen morehard cocks than a busy pornstar!!!:metal:

Where I live, usually we don't shower after gym and in school sports, but at swimming pools you have to. There I find a lot of guys my age prefer showering with their swim suits on while older people are ok with showering nude.

Well, that usually happen in highschool, most guys are self-conscious. At the public locker or pool people shower nude.

In my school we have to shower after PE. They give us only 10 minutes to get in and out before going back to class. I believe it's a health thing. So no one takes a long hot shower after PE. At the Y or rec center here you have to shower before going into the pool. But showering is optional after any of the sports activities.

In all seriousness though, I think it's obviously a thing on the times. Everyone everywhere is self-conscious of their bodies now, and the rise of easy access porn hasn't helped that. It could very well be a regional thing, but it's the same at my school as well.

I am from Arkansas, USA. Most people I know or have seen in general shower naked. I can't shower any other way, naked is the only way I like to do it.

At my German school it's the like at my English school yet. Showering is required. But just few showers naked.

So from my pov it isn't necessarily a regional phenomenon, but something that has evolved over many years in teen minds. So it has something to do with Zeitgeist or such.

But basically it doesn't matter if someone takes a shower naked or not. More important is, that guys ever shower.

Half of us showered in high school and half didn't. It was a choice, though the PE teachers would call us scumbags to our faces if we didn't shower. So....we showered to avoid being ridiculed. Plus, it kind of turned into the "cool thing" to shower. If you didn't...it was really weird. Course that was a couple years ago now.

I have always had to shower at school for PE. I was embarrassed the first week, but then after that it was no big thing. There are still some guys that do the towel dance and their the ones that get teased. As for us other guys it doesn't matter if you have a tiny dick or a big one. I have never heard of anyone getting teased. I just cannot understand what is the big thing about getting naked with other guys, washing yourself and putting your clothes back on. Simple and at least you wont go the rest of the day smelly.

Nude showers are required here --our gym class. Coaches make sure we take them. Besides we all boys - same parts/. LOL!!

At my school and in my sports club it's normal and required to shower after sports. Every boy is doing it except the Muslim ones to don't want to show their dicks to the others( religious reason, I think).

I used to do Army cadets and whilst showering nude is not expected, it becomes a thing of nature in a way due to the comradeship between us guys. You often have the older boys i.e. 14/15 nude whilst the 12/13 yr olds often wear boxers cause they're shy.

Since there are only two shower cubicles, we shower usually together in the communal shower room. Our teacher makes regular checks. It´s the same in soccer practice. I would feel dirty and smelly, if I wouldn´t take a shower after sports, and I am lucky that my classmates and buddies have to shower, too. I would find it disgusting somehow, when some or all of us would be sitting in class, all swetty and dusty. We are all boys, and we look all pretty much the same down below, so hey, where is the problem to ensure our own body hygiene? I know from a buddy, that in his school most boys don´t shower at all, though. So maybe I am just lucky.

At my school, we don't do showers so its the norm over here. Saying that, we've recently had huge exposures of people within the education system abusing school boys so I guess we won't be going back to communal showers any time soon. Not sure I'd like to see my year stripped so I'll settle for the smelly, sweaty smell lol. I'm sat next to windows so I'm safe.

Agreeing with northy, in the UK it seems that although most schools have the facilities for mass showers, we don't. At my secondary school (11-16ish) we weren't allowed to shower after PE or any after-school sport. At my college (16-18ish) in A Level PE, you don't actually do any sport (weird I know), and at the sports center they use for the teams, there are closed stalls, so it wouldn't matter.

any idea why they are locked? i guess some school systems have had parents complain that their kids may have to get "naked" with other kids so they aren't allowed to have them shower.
