I was wondering people's opinions on dating multiple people. In my case, there's maybe about 3/4 girls I'm considering taking out, and I was wondering what people think of taking them all out (not at the same date) at the same time, and sort of seeing how they all go and then eventually settling with one person.

When I was in high school I dated a lot of different people at the same time. I was not interested in being in a committed relationship, just wanted to have an enjoyable time with someone. It was a lot of fun being with different people. Now, in college, I am in a relationship. I think you will also eventually find that person with whom you click and settle into a relationship. The process for getting there was really enjoyable for me and should be for you as well. Enjoy the journey!

My mom says that its okay to casually date multiple people when you are in search of the right one because if you dont then how will you really find out which one is for you? You get to compare your different dates and weigh all of the pros and cons of them all.

I think there's a substantial difference between dating and going "steady". I was casually dating a girl a while back whilst still having uhhh 'relations' with this guy. I eventually broke it off with her because she was getting way too involved with me when I was just kind of trying to be more normal by being with her. I felt bad and so just admitted that I wasn't into girls. She wasn't bothered by the fact I had been seeing someone else because we weren't official (just mad because I had led her on).

So basically, yes you can date multiple people. It's part of the process, rather than just settling with someone you may not have a great connection with.

i think as long as everyone knows you're doing it there;s nothing wrong at all. :)

Therein lies the problem. I haven't told them, nor do I plan on it. I'm probably not even going to ask half of them out, and then out of the remainders I don't know how well I'll click, but I'm not going to make it official with multiple people. I just want to give a few people a shot and see how it goes

If there's no ring on your finger and you haven't agreed to be exclusive there is nothing wrong with it.

i think if you're seeing multiple people more than three times, they deserve to know they;re not the only one. otherwise, i think it's fine to keep quiet unless you're specifically asked.

I would admit it if they asked yes, but so far I haven't actually asked any of them out yet, so three times is a bit far away

Not unless everyone that is involved knows.
