So, in a few days, I was thinking of asking a girl to go to prom during our Senior Trip. We're going skiing upstate, and I figure why not ask then. I was thinking of just being totally confident (hint i am not) and just being like "Hey what are your plans for prom?" and if she said she doesn't know yet, be like "What a coincidence, me either" and work from there. I'm fairly certain she'll say yes.

My question is: Usually people really like it when they are asked in a creative or cool way, and I was wondering if you guys had any ideas/advice to make this whole thing more special for her.

Any and all advice is appreciated, thanks :D

Last year I asked this one girl. We both watched the show breaking bad so I made a poster that said

Will you break bad at prom with me? And I drew the Br and Ba parts like they are on the periodic table/show. And I got Her blue flowers.

Oh, that's such an awesome idea! I'll brainstorm some common interests we have.

Be direct and tell her you want to take her to the prom. Girls like to know you're interested.

Don't make like it's going to crush you if she declines, she may have other plans already so don't take it personally. Girls don't like to feel like they're responsible for your happiness but they don't like to feel like they're nothing to you either.

Well I picked up a box of Ghirardelli chocolates, do I just hide this dang thing behind my back while I ask or something?

Lol that's how you usually do it guy. Flowers aren't really in season so those might just die if you get those for her (especially upstate) but chocolate is always a good go to

Oh there are tons of ways. I have seen videos of guys who would dress as Ash and say "I choose you." A guy at my school asked a girl by having his friends hold up signs that made the sentence of "I know it is late, but would you go to prom with yours truly" and he walked out last with a rose. It must be ahead of prom. the last thing you want is to wait until the week before or even worse, the week of prom. I myself cannot remember my prom-posal. My high school crush just ended up saying one day, "so you are taking me to prom right?" Not word for word of course but that is all I can remember. Her asking me. Hey at least I did not have to struggle asking around.

Ah you're so lucky, bet that took a ton of pressure off.

The chocolates will be in my bag, so this is how I see it playing out.

"So, what are your plans for prom?"
"(I don't really have any yet, something like that)"
"Huh, well, I think I might have something for that."

Cue me, pulling box out of my bag with "Prom?" written on it, and giving it to her.

Haha that is a good way to ask. Just be confident and smile.. Wear cologne when you ask so she thinks you smell good. You can ask in a number of ways. Some guys kneel when they ask, you do not have to. Get her a flower, you can never go wrong with that. Plus flowers almost always guarantee you a big hug. You should totally do that, but make sure you have a back up in case she is taken. Hopefully not.

Want something special and creative? I have an idea. Are there cabins or something? I assume there's going to be plenty of snow. If you can, write a sign asking her if you'll go to prom with her, save it for later. Make two snowmen in front of where she's staying, and have them dancing or something, and hang the sign there, and wait for her to come out.

You should sing her a song and have all the forest creature join in the singing and dancing...like in a Disney movie lmao

I really can't stand promposals lol I mean if you come up with something brilliant and original that's great but don't do one just to do it. Plus prom is expensive enough without having to drop come cash if you go with one of those super big promposals. I'm with Seth on this one. Go the romantic route. Sunset with a view sounds pretty damn good to me. However, I'm a hypocrite cause I promposed in high school lmao I guess it was different cause I'd been dating my gf for a while already so I knew she'd say yes. I had my friends from TV production to help me make a video that they played during home room lol

What a friend of mine did was make an MP3 cd and gave it to his friend. (The girl he wanted to go to prom with) It was all of her favorite songs and when you read them in iTunes it spelled "will you go to prom with me?" That I thought was very clever :p
