Is it possible to be bisexual only when your drunk?
Or are people just more willing to do almost anything when they drink?
I'm confused?

I think who do bisexual stuff when they are drunk use the drinking as an excuse to do things that they really want to do when they are sober but are afraid to for a fear they will be rejected or judged by their friends and such. By doing it when they are drinking it gives them an excuse to behave badly where they normally wouldnt have if they were sober. -- if that makes any sense.

When you're drunk you're not really actively conscious of what you're doing. The above user said that being drunk is an excuse to just do stuff you wouldn't do when you were sober but personally I believe it's the loss of mental capacity to filter your actions and words that causes it. You lose to ability to give a shit about some things. If you're not really bothered then youre likely to just let it go when you're drunk even if you wouldn't actively sought it out when sober.

I guess you're more open minded and carefree when you're drunk but if you really weren't into the opposite sex at all when sober, then I doubt you'd do anything when drunk either.

I agree with both of these answers, but I also think that I am shy and could never start something like that when sober. If someone else started it and it was in the right setting, I'd probably do it. If it was with the right person of coarse!

I'm beginning to think all girls are bisexual, they just need the right circumstances to get with another girl. Every girl I know has either had a crush on another girl or has had sex with another girl including my little sister.

Idk but you could be right. I do have a thing for girls boobs. I think they are so sexy and even though I have my own, touching someone else's just seems very appealing to me. Not every girl, only a selected few.

Being drunk doesn't change who you are as a person, it just lowers your inhibitions. It doesn't make you want something you usually wouldn't. If you'd do it while drunk, you probably have at least thought about doing it while sober.

Totally - I reckon that the alcohol is really just opening up the person, and taking away the layers of repression that make them think that they are straight.

Also, OP, it sounds like you're bi, to me.

My personal view is that drinking tends to reveal the real person. Drinking lowers inhibitions - it strips away the mask we have learned to wear and reveals the real person underneath.

So, that guy who gets aggressive and nasty when he's drunk? He's a nasty, aggressive guy who has learned to keep that under control when he's sober but when he's drunk the real personality comes out.

So when it comes to sexual impulses that you only act one when drunk those are real sexual impulses - part of the real you - but ones which are not strong enough to overcome learned inhibitions when you're sober. As soon as you get drunk and your inhibitions are lowered then you start to act on them.

I'm one of the people that say that drinking does not at all bring out the truth. I don't think that being under the influence of alcohol causes you to reveal your true self or sexuality. It completely enhances whatever you could be feeling at the time. If you feel good when you begin drinking - chances are you'll feel almost ecstasy when you're drunk. It could also mean that a person could be a lot more promiscuous and end up not overly caring about who they end up with. Sometimes promiscuity leads you to just want someone not any particular gender. And also sexuality has been said to be fluid anyway - so maybe this could come into play.

Furthermore, I'm a person that believes nobody is fully straight or fully gay - there's always a chance that one person could turn them. I guess this is kind of contradictory of me by the fact that I say I'm fully homosexual but then again I'm biromantic so it also makes sense.

Although I completely disagree with Lolly16's wording and 'fact', and completely agree with your response, there is some truth to the statement.

A recent study, which I've linked an article about below which contains a like to the study, suggested that most women who identify as heterosexual are aroused both by attractive males and females equally, whereas women who identified as lesbians were more strongly attracted to the women.

Now, being neither a women not straight, I'm not in any position to give my personal opinion, because surprisingly I can not talk on behalf of all heterosexual women, and neither do I completely agree with this study, however the results it showed does suggest that there may be some truth it.

Another problem with the original statement is 'a little bi' what. Are you talking about sexual attraction or romantic attraction. Personally, I like the idea that everyone is a variation on bi-romantic, and has the potential to love everyone for who they are, not what appendages they happen to have, even if there is no sexual attraction there, but I think this is not the case, as I also doubt that everyone is 'a little bi'sexual.

As for the original post, it depends on the situation. I think that alcohol has different affects depending on what is happening, both 'magnifying' what you really want and what you want 'in the moment'. Because it lowers you inhibitions if you wanted to do something, you're more likely to do it, even if it wouldn't normally interest you.

I feel like this hits the nail on the coffin. People who say that they aren't gay or bi because they did something while drunk, have definitely thought about doing whatever it was sober. Sure, your thinking is impaired, but it's not, for lack of a better word, halted. Just my two cents on the subject. :)

I would add that when sober you are repressing your true nature because of social pressure. However, after a few drinks you no longer give a s**t what people think and you are just you. If you enjoy being with a person of the same sex, then it is a natural thing for you. Stop lying to yourself and accept your true self. You will be much happier and less drunk. Getting drunk is not the answer, it is just an excuse. Excessive drinking can be dangerous, to yourself (health, life) and to others.

I just kinda figures alcohol lessons your inhibitions as well as making a person feel really good, and also lowers standards

Thats pretty true. But once its happened that way, you realise you really enjoyed it and dont need to be drunk to do it again. After that, it becomes far more natural. Maybe you just need the alcohol to conquer you fear the first time.

I think both of these answers can be valid/even a combination of the two depending on the person
