Agreed. But in times where borders are obsolet for global players, the postulation for borders is also somewhat frumpy. Somehow it reminds me of some history lessons ... the end of the era of global-European colonialism, about the modern times of the Industrial Revolution. That's all so steampunk.

And a big LOL at some Britons coming to Calais to call the French (fed up of these savages) 'Nazi scum'.
They want to go to Britain ? Let them go for God's sake,it shouldn't be our problem.

[Mark my words] If there's a civil war in Europe,be sure that the traitors (No borders, pro rapefugees whatever) will be the first to be 'attacked'...

Still borders are needed to facilitate administrative, military and police jurisdiction of a country. These anarchists should be shipped to central Africa, look how borderless societies work there, great.

Too bad the rejected ones from Germany will be sent here. Fortunately, we still have the spirit for fighting the invaders from across the Bosphorus :D

Borders just give us a fake feeling to be save. But that's an illussion. Truth is, no border is an obstacle to e.g. global terrorist players.
That what was going on in Calais around that ferry wasn't even an act of terrorism, but a kind of demonstration which run riot.
To me, I simply smell somewhat of situational criminal energy per se, which was hyped pathetically as an political issue.
If anything, we should do more social causual research in those cases, certainly put the rioters in jail, instead of discussing the question of better controlled borders.

borders are only as real as we make them. from the Great Wall to Hadrian's Wall to the Welsh Marches, mankind has defended its realms decisively and we aren't about to stop now

Making an border that is impossible to pass illegally is impossible, DDR tried that and people still hopped the wall. Making the numbers of illegals and terrorists crossing a minimum is a priority. Look at the relaxed border policy and the recent attacks in Paris. If these were properly screened and monitored on entry, the attack wouldn't have happened so soon.

Borders, walls whatever might not stop people at 100%,but stops a high % of them.
The Hungarians don't get invaded as they used to be.

I feel that Trump is an insult to the Wall tbh. His ego greatly dwarfs it.

I'll take the news story as it appears to be, literally.
However, I'm seeing a trend of you sourcing stuff from clearly non-neutral websites. The source and this thread is intense tabloidism to me.

It's because no "non-biased" outlet reports about it. There are no neutral media anymore, everything is slowly getting more polarized.

That Brietbart is considered of use on this board is a horrible reflexion of its intellectual rigour.
That impartial news sources might not exist is no reason to jump to using the most obviously shit agenda-driven material.

Not really relevant to my point.

I fully agree with this.
