Hello everyone! So I have been mates with this girl for 4 years we're close but when I told her I had a girlfriend she took it the wrong way and started taking the Mick! I wasn't sure what to make of it! Whether it was banta or serious! So she carries on I just tell her go get on with it. But now I am not on good terms with my friend because I have a girlfriend. To me the friend of mine is practically saying she doesn't want me to have a relationship! What do you all think? 😖☺

I can only gather she was raging and inappropriate and has a bitter personality.

She obviously is hurt and has a crush on you, so I'd just let her go as a friend since she's not in control of her behavior. She can accept she's stuck in the role of a friend, or not and lose that title too.

However if you've been intimate with this girl, then her emotional upset is understandable.

Sounds to me like she liked you more than a friend or viewed your friendship as something more exclusive than what it was. You should talk to her, if you can, and find out what kind of friendship she was under the impression you had.

Me and the friend were extremely close we started talking in year 8/8th grade and since then have helped each other through problems!
