Every time I try to explain something to my mom she thinks I'm arguing. When I try to talk to her about it she's thinks I'm arguing. When I try to help her with spmething she says no. I ask her why and she says cause I said so and takes my phone away.

WTF is wrong with her.

Sometimes women can be the best things in the world, unfortunately other times they can be screaming devil-banshees and it's not always their fault so just give her some space for a while, try to do nice things for her without directly interacting with her i.e. clean your room, do the washing up, etc.
She should go back to normal soon.

I'm not going to venture and say this is a "LOL wimmen am i right" type of issue. I don't know what goes on in your home, but one thing that's always been stressed to me was "it's not what you say, it's how you say it". You may not think you're doing anything wrong, but your tone may unknowingly suggest otherwise.

Or your mom is just overreactive as heck. It's a toss up.

it's not always their fault

Everyone on this planet is 100% capable of not being an asshole.

an afterthought: there's probably not much you can do to change her behavior. Learning to deal with difficult people will come handy later in life.

Nope. You forgot to carve out percentages for the mentally ill and those under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and those from other cultures who have different goal posts of what defines rude or appropriate etc.

At best i would guess it's 80%.

Mentally ill people are still capable of treating people decently. Sure, their judgment might be a bit clouded in which case I'm sympathetic. Doesn't mean they don't know how not to be a dick.

Being under the influence is a shitty excuse.

Other social customs are irrelevant.

Oh #2 definitely was a shitty excuse, but no less valid and true.
