Could you please tell me what a grey smilie icon in the members avatar with "unreg" printed in it mean?

They never went to their email to activate their account or they changed their email and never validated it.

It means that a member hasn't fully completed the registration process, including confirming their email account.

You may also see it if someone changes their email and doesn't confirm it.
