What do you think about the looks of compression shorts under a shorter pair of track shorts as in my pic below? My girlfriend likes the look, she finds it hot when the compression shorts with my track team logo stick out under the loose shorts. She says I could wear them like that under my normal shorts too, just for the look lol.

I don't get it. Wear one or the other but not both. If you like spandex shorts, then just wear those. If you like loose shorts, that's cool too, but why wear both? Seems foolish to me.

The track shorts are part of our uniform, we have to wear them, but I like compression shorts too.

well when I do wear compression shorts, I am not wearing them for fashionable purposes but to help support playing sports or working out or whatever. the fact they are supporting you is key, but the fact she likes the look on you is an added bonus for you

Yeah basically I'm also wearing them for these purposes, sometimes also when hanging out, they are really comfortable. When I started to wear longer ones that stick out under the track shorts (btw do you wear them like that?), she really liked the look and said I could wear this layered look with my casual shorts, too. I dunno if it's a good idea.

I wear compression shorts underneath my shorts. But I usually wear the longer basketball shorts.

Yeah they are comfortable. You never wear somewhat shorter shorts with them?

I say I have worn them with shorter shorts. Like showing the compression like an 1 in or 2. Nothing more

I personally would not do it for casual. I will sometimes where the longer ones under basketball shorts or whatever (though I much more of a fan of the shorter ones). In the end though, if you want to do it, then go for it. obviously if your gf likes the look and it is making her happy (and you like it) then it is all an added bonus. It is not a look I would do for casual wear though (again me personally). for running, working out, whatever, it is common enough so no biggie

I think I'll make a compromise. I do sports a lot (track, soccer, workout) and these times I'll wear them like that for sure. Also I often dress sporty when hanging out (I'm an athlete after all lol), these times I'll wear them too with some shorter Nike or UA shorts (however not necessarily so short as my track shorts), especially when I'm with her. She says she likes it because it gives a more athletic look and finds it hot. Btw she loves making out when I'm in athletic gear lol. You think it would be a good compromise?

yea it should be man. as an athlete myself I get the whole look regardless. if you are happy and she is happy, then there is not much more you can ask for

Thanks bro, she's so hot that I'll do this for her lol. In the meantime I'll think about what to ask her for in exchange lol.

They also help hiding things, in our team all the hung guys wear them lol. For some reason girls like it when the compression shorts show more under the shorts.

Have to agree with you there it just doesn't look right.

I'm into sports and I love compression shorts. The loose shorts just slide over the compression shorts and there's zero resistance when moving a lot.

Lately I've REALLY gotten into the 3/4 length leggings. They're so comfortable and I like the way they look.

Do you also wear compression shorts longer than the shorts?
3/4 leggings also look good. In our school mainly basketball players wear them.

I wear full-length tights or 3/4 tights during football, but during track and field and wrestling I wear short compression shorts.

I would never wear compression shorts outside of sports. I'd rather wear boxers or boxer briefs.

Are they not comfortable for long-term wear? I noticed that my Nike Pros don't compress as much as my UAs, they're made of a lighter fabric.

I wear Nike, Its a personal preference for me. Especially if it's a hot spring or summer day Id prefer boxers and boxer briefs, I might wear them under pants during fall or winter.

For track it's a lot more about the function of the compression shorts than it is for the look. If you like the look, by all means go for it, but the purpose of them is to keep everything in place down there while you're running.

Ive never worn them more than 5 hours at a time (Long track meet). I agree my Nike has more of a stretch, I like it due to its breathability. My under armour ones I just bought are very tight and suffocating almost. So if I had to wear one underneath my clothes Id go with the nike.

If you're worried about shorts sticking out, try a jockstrap underneath. I think they hold you in better anyway too.

Yeah I started to wear Nike pros underneath, they are more comfortable and go better with my shorts most of which are also Nike.

Hey it worked out well, she loves it and friends also got used to the look lol. She suggested I should complement this layered look with wearing double socks with one pair shorter than the other one, you think it's a good idea? I saw it on some guys.

well it is not for me, esp just for casual wear. but if you try it out and you like it, then go for it. making her happy is a major bonus, but if it is not something you don't want to wear or don't like after trying it, then at least you tried it and move on. glad to hear she loves it and other people are used to the longer compression short look haha

Yeah you're right I saw them esp on athletes, not really for casual. I think they're for additional support in shoes but some started wearing them outside practices, too. As for the shorts, I told my friends I'm wearing them like that because I wanna show off that I'm an athlete, which they believed haha. Some joked I need the compression shorts because I'm often kissing with my gf in public lol.

haha that's good. some people wear compression shorts instead of underwear. usually the shorter leg compression shorts, but in reality, as long as your happy with what your wearing that is what really matters (making your gf happy is an obvious bonus). we all wear things to make our gf happy and I am def no exception haha

Yeah I'm happy if I can make her happy lol. The added bonus is that she likes me esp in athletic gear. I tried out a new look in the hs gym when she was also there with friends: beyond wearing my track gear with the longer compression shorts I was wearing black knee high socks (as in soccer) with crew socks over them matching the shoes. She loved it much, even kissed me lol.

Yeah partially that, partially needing extra compression on my legs because of injuries and partially for the looks, as it turned out that friends and my gf especially like it. So it's a win win win lol.
