The old defenition used to be you lose it it you have done vaginal penetration but with more LGBT around that wuld mean gay guys and lesbians would never lose their virginity so the defenition is slightly diffrent, i look at is as anal, vaginal and whatever lesbians do it considered sec where as handjobs and blow jobs are sex acts but not sex its self.
On another note seriously dude abit of spelling and punctuation would be good.

Yeah, I say being a virgin or not is dependent on penetrating or being penetrated.

In the strictest term; you are a virgin until you've had sexual intercourse with the member of the opposite sex. But this definition leaves a lot of people out of the loop. While the social policy makers look to redefine marriage to include same sex partnerships, maybe it is time we also revisited what it means to be a virgin.
When we think of virgins, we think of "white wedding innocents" who define sex as a synonym for gender. But the fact is, the standard definition of virginity lets you get away with having a lot of different kinds of sex was still being able to call yourself a virgin. In theory, under the traditional definition of virginity, someone who is homosexual can have sex every day and still be a virgin. Someone who has oral sex regularly is also still a virgin. Does that really make sense? Something is a miss!
The whole narrow definition of virginity is in desperate need of a rewrite. Who better to do it than the first generation of new millennium teens? What does "losing your virginity" mean to you? Is it a state of mind or a specific act? Is it something that can be taken from you, or does it only count if you willingly give it away? When does "fooling around" end and "having sex" begin?

so how do u define virginity. ive never put cock in pussy so am i a virgin? I'd say penetration is the line for loosing your virginity, but it varies from one person to the other.
what r u a virgin at...
1)handjob, giving or gettin : Done both
2)blowjob, giving or gettin : Done both
3)vagina, giving of course: Done that
4)anal, giving or gettin, Haven't done that
r u a virgin if uve done sum of these but not all. ive got a friend who says she wants to be a virgin when she gets married but gives hand n headjobs at all the parties. so is she a virgin. (shes known for it...) Again, for me the line is drawn at penetration, but another person would say she's not a virgin.

Yes I have the same opinion, IMO I think all other acts such as cunnilingus(eating pussy), fingering, blowjobs, handjobs etc. are simply and exclusively foreplay.

That label really doesn't matter, especially if you're a guy cause it's not like people can take one look at you and tell whether you're a virgin or not.
But, in my opinion I think you lose your virginity when you've had direct and intended contact with someone else's privates and either of you cum.
That includes, anal, vag, oral, hand jobs, whatever.

For straight people it's got to be vaginal penetration (idk about anal penetration, I can't decide about that).
For gay guys it's got to be anal penetration.
For lesbian girls, Idk, I guess oral, I'm not really sure what else it could be, a strap-on, but I don't think all lesbians are into that?

According to what I learned in health class, you can get a std from any of those (except handjob). Basically anything you can get an std from, I would personally consider sex. I guess that excludes kissing, though.

As a girl is specifically mention I would say that a girl ceases to be a virgin when she has had a penis inside her vagina. Freely engaging in other sexual acts short of penetration doesn't count.
The reason for drawing the line there is that this is the only act that could get her pregnant and that was important. At a time when men married women and supported both the woman and any children born to he the man would want to know those children were his and with no reliable contraception (in the past) insisting she has abstained from vaginal sex was the only way.
I was going to say that now we have contraception the problem is STDs but actually we haven't solved the unplanned pregnancy problem and STDs have been a problem for a long, long time. Some of these that are now curable with antibiotics were previously incurable and thus were the equivalent of AIDS at the time.
Someone pointed out that gay and lesbian couples could have analogues to penis-in-vagina sex - anal sex for gay guys and maybe a strap-on or double dildo for lesbians? That does assume those people are into those acts, though. I am sure some are but I bet it is not as universal and penis-in-vagina sex is for a straight couple. Overall I think that means virginity may not be such a useful concept for gay and lesbian people but if they want to adopt some other definition then fine.

Depending on who you ask, the definition of virginity can be different. If you're going for a literal definition, then it's lost when one has participated in penetrative sex, be it vaginal or anal. Many would say that it requires a real person's penis to have one's virginity lost, not just by being penetrated by a phallic object. Under that note, some would argue that lesbians can never truly lose their virginity because of the lack of a person's penis having done the penetration.
Which leads to my second definition. it's more of a psychological definition. One would have lost their virginity if they have had penetrative sex for the first time with someone that they love. For lesbians, it would mean that they consider having lost it if they had sex with who they loved. For some gay and straight guys and girls, they can be having sex with lots of people but still consider themselves virgins because of the lack of having sex with a significant other.
On what I think as more of an extreme definition, some might say that they are no longer virgins after having participated in a sexual act with another. It's another kind of psychological definition, although it takes the term to a different level. I have a friend who has never had penetrative sex before by has jerked off with someone before. To him, he considers it a loss of his virginity because he engaged in a sexual act with another. Like I said, it's an extreme form of the definition, but it's his belief that he's no longer a virgin despite not having had penetrative sex.
Like I said, it depends on who you ask as to what kind of definition for virginity you'd get. For me, I'm more of the second definition. By literal definition, I'm no longer a virgin, but I still think of myself as one because I've yet to had penetrative sex with someone I love.

I'm a virgin because I don't like invading other people's bodies with my genitalia and juices. Nah, I kid myself; I'm a virgin because I feel like it. I will defecate someone's body whenever the fuck I desire.
The word "virginity" defines many things. For example, it can be used to define your nostril virginity(your nostrils are virgin-like if you've never hand picked your nose). I don't know about you, but I pick my nose with cotton buds, bud.

You remain a virgin until you have a sexual intercourse during which you put your penis inside a vagina. The rest is foreplay.
By the way, I guess you are asking this because your friend you are talking about gives you headjobs during parties?
