Do you think it would be alright if I used a deodorant lid to catch it in, and then waited a few minutes before swallowing it from that? Is it still normal (in todays times) to do it that way compared to the other ways guys clean up?

Some people do very unusual things when turned on. What your'e asking about is nothing compared to some other turn ons. Why do you need a lid, can't you just use your hand? That's the more common way to do it.

I guess that depend on your definition of normal. The impression I get is that most guys try tasting their semen but a much smaller number regularly eat it. Of those who do eat it I have no idea what proportion use a deodorant lid as the mechanism of transfer.

To me, though that's not the point. There is a wide diversity in what people like to do and there is nothing wrong with that. The questions you should be asking yourself are:

1. Is it safe?
2. Does it hurt anyone else?

I think normal can be a wide range of things now. Mine is always quite thin.

I know I cautioned against re-using the same thing time after time without washing but that does not mean it has to be sterile or ready to use in an operating theatre. All that is needed is to clean it as well as any other cup or drinking vessel you would use to drink from, i.e. stick it in the dishwasher or wash in warm water with a little dish-washing detergent or, failing that, any of the liquid soaps/shower gels etc.
