So I have been reading a bunch of posts on these. So my questions are these

I was wondering how did you know you were ready?
Do you think age has anything to do with it?
And can somebody be ready to have oral sex without going all the way?

I know some people think that you should not have sex/ you are not ready for sex if you are not financially ready, and abl to take care of a baby.
Do you agree with this?
Do you think it'll really stop anybody?

Also I know some people say sex and love have nothing to do with each other, while others say that you should not have sex without being in love.
So what do you think?

Have you ever had sex just for fun?
Is it wrong to just have sex with no emotional attachment?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know that I am not ready to go all the way. I am happy to still be a virgin. And I have given a blow job although I'm not sure I was all the way ready.I don't think that eexamd love are mutually exclusive. But I think that you should have an emotional attachment to your partner. And I dont know where I stand on sex just for fun.

I was wondering how did you know you were ready? I know that I'm ready because I've got to a point where I'm completely happy with myself, and I feel that I would be able to deal with any of the consequences that could occur. I also think that I'd be able to deal with any rejection that could happen as a result.
Do you think age has anything to do with it? I think age only has to do with it on a maturity level, and relative to puberty and how far along you are. Other than that, every one is different and you cannot place an 'age holder' on when 'everyone' is okay to have sex. I know full well at 16 no matter how much I wanted to have sex I was by no means ready to.
And can somebody be ready to have oral sex without going all the way? Oral sex and 'sex' are 2 very different acts when done separately. Obviously, oral sex could well act as foreplay when sex is what you're finishing with, but, as you may see from reading may of the posts on vt, it is just a form of experimentation as well. They intimacy involved with the acts, I'd imagine, are also very different as well.

I know some people think that you should not have sex/ you are not ready for sex if you are not financially ready, and able to take care of a baby.
Do you agree with this? Not completely. I think that anyone engaging in a sexual act that could result in a child (male or female) should consider the possible outcomes and be aware of them, but I do not think that that should be the be-all end-all. I think if the people involved are happy with having sex, and are properly protected, then they should do as they please (within reasonable understanding of the law;))
Do you think it'll really stop anybody? Unfortunately no, however I do hope that it is a thought process that people have gone through.

Also I know some people say sex and love have nothing to do with each other, while others say that you should not have sex without being in love.
So what do you think? I think both are correct in their own ways. I think the act of sex in itself is not love, however people who 'make love' are having sex and it is to do with love. In the same way, the whole 'no sex with out love' idea is like saying no sex before marriage. I do think that if it is done without love, then both people involved need to be doing it without love, or else people are going to get hurt. I think overall it's important to remember that what you do with your body for whatever reasons is completely up to you, however you need to be on the same page as the person you are doing anything with.

Have you ever had sex just for fun? I wish. I think that I would so long that I was comfortable with the person and situation, and that I felt that it wouldn't negatively impact the relationship that I had with that person.
Is it wrong to just have sex with no emotional attachment? Not at all, as long as it is the same for both people. You're going to need to learn how to do it properly somehow, and porn is not a very good way to go about it.

(I feel it important to note that I've not had sex of any sort, but still feel able to answer the questions given the content)

I was wondering how did you know you were ready? The short answer? I didn't. If I hadn't have done it the first, I would still feel as though I wasn't ready, it only had to happen for me to realize that I was ready

Do you think age has anything to do with it? I'm sure it had some kind of factor in it, but it was largely just a heat of the moment thing

And can somebody be ready to have oral sex without going all the way? Of course, each individual person is different in their own way

I know some people think that you should not have sex/ you are not ready for sex if you are not financially ready, and abl to take care of a baby.
Do you agree with this? Absolute not. Sex isn't just a reproduction thing, it's a connection as well.

Do you think it'll really stop anybody? Considering that my friend lost her virginity when she was 11, I highly doubt it

Also I know some people say sex and love have nothing to do with each other, while others say that you should not have sex without being in love.
So what do you think? I somewhat agree. The first time I think it should definitely be with someone you love and trust, however subsequent times, I don't think it should play a huge factor into it, that's just me though

Have you ever had sex just for fun? Yes
Is it wrong to just have sex with no emotional attachment? Of course not. Sex is sex.

I was wondering how did you know you were ready? I didn't. We literally just took a shot in the dark (no pun intended haha) and gave it a try. I was 14 and she was 13 but about to turn 14. At the time, it seemed totally normal, but now that I look back at it, I realize how messed up it was. What's so weird is that nothing even remotely bad happened as a result.. Seriously, it made our relationship more concrete and made us trust each other more... It was amazing. No sex is safe sex, but we used a condom and it worked out.
Do you think age has anything to do with it? Yes, Yes it does. I know that I did it at age, 14, but I was lucky. people should not follow in my footsteps.
And can somebody be ready to have oral sex without going all the way? Yeah, I don't see why not. Although, oral sex is a HUGE gateway to intercourse. I mean it's like if you were to drive as fast as you could on the freeway and you got up to 95. Why not go that 5 extra mph to hit 100?

I know some people think that you should not have sex/ you are not ready for sex if you are not financially ready, and abl to take care of a baby.
Do you agree with this? I agree with it, but I'm a giant hypocrite saying that. I think I would be able to take care of a baby okay, but me or my girlfriend are in no way, shape, or form even close to being financially ready for a baby.
Do you think it'll really stop anybody? It'll stop some.

Also I know some people say sex and love have nothing to do with each other, while others say that you should not have sex without being in love.
So what do you think? Sex is a huge step to take in a relationship. The key word is relationship though. If you have decided that someone is your girlfriend or boyfriend, then love has to be a factor. However, if both people know it's a strict fwb or one night stand type of thing, then that's okay too. In short, love is for committed relationships and dirty sex is for people that have already said and understnad that they don't love each other but still would like to have the enjoyment of sex.

Have you ever had sex just for fun? nope
Is it wrong to just have sex with no emotional attachment? It depends.

I was wondering how did you know you were ready? I'm still not ready. 1) I'm not ready to handle any circumstances that could happen. 2) I'm an old soul. I take things like sex and relationships very seriously. It's almost rare to find someone at my age with that type of mindset.

Do you think age has anything to do with it? The majority of people start developing those types of feelings around the teenage years. However, there is such thing as being demisexual and asexual. I'm personally demisexual which is why I've only ever had those type of feelings for like 2 people.

And can somebody be ready to have oral sex without going all the way? I'm sure.

I know some people think that you should not have sex/ you are not ready for sex if you are not financially ready, and able to take care of a baby.
Do you agree with this? Yes. I fully agree. Personally, I probably could raise a kid without any problem except that I'm not financially able to give them the life they need.

Do you think it'll really stop anybody? Come to my hometown for a few days. 70 percent of the people I grew up with now have kids or is pregnant. Only a handful of them are actually good parents.

Also I know some people say sex and love have nothing to do with each other, while others say that you should not have sex without being in love.So what do you think? Personally, I probably won't ever have sex with someone I don't feel I'm in love with.

Have you ever had sex just for fun? No.
Is it wrong to just have sex with no emotional attachment? This depends on situation. If one of you is emotionally attached, it's pretty bad to do that to someone. If both of you are emotionally attached, go for it.

I just have to say that the differences in thought process is pretty interesting and there's some really good advice happening here. I want to point out that on my part I know I am not ready but at the same time I was curious to see what everybody thought.

I was wondering how did you know you were ready? Idk if I ever knew I was ready or not, it was something that just kinda happened, but I do know the feelings that I had at the time were very different from any other feelings I had ever had normally.

Do you think age has anything to do with it? I dont think age really has much to do with it, maybe maturity, but its hard to say from person to person

And can somebody be ready to have oral sex without going all the way? Yes, a person can be read to have oral sex without going all the way, its called setting boundaries.

I know some people think that you should not have sex/ you are not ready for sex if you are not financially ready, and able to take care of a baby.
Do you agree with this? I agree and disagree with this statement. I agree because having sex is a huge responsibility on both parts and is something that should be taken into account because accidents happen. I disagree because if the couple is mature enough and has taken into account all of the pros and cons of the act, and takes the necessary precautions, then everything should be okay and usually is.

Do you think it'll really stop anybody? No, I dont think it will stop anybody, but i think it might make them think a bit harder before taking the leap.

Also I know some people say sex and love have nothing to do with each other, while others say that you should not have sex without being in love.
So what do you think? People who say that sex and love have nothing to do with eachother are incorrect because sex and love should be equal to eachother. Its not always so, but in an ideal relationship it always is.

Have you ever had sex just for fun? Yes, this is the one time where sex and love do not equate
Is it wrong to just have sex with no emotional attachment? No, but thats just my personal opinion. We have needs and urges and sometimes its not about the emotional as much as it is about the physical -- if that makes any sense.

I was wondering how did you know you were ready?
Well u have to define sex-penetration or experimental? Havent had
penetration with girl or guy-im not ready for it. Experimental-Girls
have gotten me off and some guy friends and I have done it to them-
Oral -J/O-How did I know I was ready? I don't think I was ready really-but hormones causes hornies and well so it goes I guess.

Do you think age has anything to do with it?
Im sure it does cause everyone developes at a different stage. I know
of some 12 and 13yr olds round school claim thay have had sex-but
who knows really the truth to it.

And can somebody be ready to have oral sex without going all the way?
I think u can control urself but if two people r comfortable with it-I
don't c anything wrong with it-That's Oral-Going all the way well-its not
easy once u get urself hot and aroused but u have to use ur head-No Pun
Intended-and think of the circumstances.

I know some people think that you should not have sex/ you are not ready for sex if you are not financially ready, and abl to take care of a baby.
Do you agree with this?--Of course
Do you think it'll really stop anybody?--NO-but u have to use ur head and
try to control urself and always use protection.

Also I know some people say sex and love have nothing to do with each other, while others say that you should not have sex without being in love.

So what do you think?--Sex and Love have ALL to do with it-but sex during
puberty I believe is just to relieve ur hornies-In most cases- but I cant say
ALL-guys and girls just want to get off. I love my girl and would not hurt
her in any way-that is y we haven't gone all the way-IDK with two guys
if it is different-That u have to do a lot of deep thinking-Two guys could
love each other as a straight couple I guess where Sex means something
more than just taking care of the hornies. Im guilty of it as I would think
a lot of others but Oral is one thing and Intercourse is way another thing.

Have you ever had sex just for fun?
Of course-again define sex.

Is it wrong to just have sex with no emotional attachment?
YES or else it is called-LUST-but once again define sex here. :what:

I haven't had sex yet either but when I day dream about it I picture making out with a guy and feeling in love and doing foreplay and then him asking me if I want to go all the way, and if I say yes, then I'm ready!
That's just a very simple way of thinking about it.

I was wondering how did you know you were ready? I knew because I wanted to have it and that was the end of it
Do you think age has anything to do with it? Not really you kinda just do it when you think you would be able to but I suppose younger people are more likely to be more cautious of sex or are just have less opportunity to have it.
And can somebody be ready to have oral sex without going all the way? Yea I suppose so I've met such people.

I know some people think that you should not have sex/ you are not ready for sex if you are not financially ready, and abl to take care of a baby.
Do you agree with this? No If having a baby is a concern use protection
Do you think it'll really stop anybody? Not particularly

Also I know some people say sex and love have nothing to do with each other, while others say that you should not have sex without being in love.
So what do you think? Sex and love are not the same thing that's right. If you want to have sex with someone but don't love them then that's fine they are separate things. Although it could be argued it's much better to have sex with someone you love

Have you ever had sex just for fun? Yea that's kinda why I do it
Is it wrong to just have sex with no emotional attatchment? No it's not wrong. Sex is just a physical act that we can have fun with you don't have to emotionally attach yourself to someone you want to have sex with but if you want to that's fine
