I think proud is too strong a term. It's not like I have worked hard to get them or anything they just happen as part of growing up.

On the other hand I am not shy about them. I don't hide them when I am naked somewhere where one would normally be naked, for example in a locker room, shower etc. and there is no point in me trying to pretend I am a little boy still.

I know some people are into shaving and may genuinely just prefer the look but I'd say to everyone you have to embrace maturity and not try to live in the past or try to be the little boy some people may still of you as. Allow people to notice you are growing up and be the real you.

I was the opposite at first. I was the first one to grow pubes of all my friends ... BY FAR. So I trimmed them at first. Like way down. Since then I've done all sorts of stuff wirth them including growing them out and shaving all the way off. I do sort of get that when full, it does look like an accomplishment ... but like Seth said, it's really not an accomplishment if you think about it, they do it on their own lol.

Let me start off by saying that it is up to you how you keep your hair. If you want a untamed wild jungle look, then have at it.

As for me. I am hairy all over. The only places I don't have hair is on the bottom of my feet and the palms of my hands. Until recently I didn't keep anything trimmed. And then my pubes got wrapped up in my underwear, I pulled them down and out they came.. It wasn't pleasant. Since then I got a body grooming kit and keep the pubes to about a half inch along with my chest hair and underarm hair.

Would I say I a proud of them. No, it is hair. And to be honest, if I could take a pill and be gone of all the hair except the hair on my head, pubes, pits and eyebrows I would take it. I live in Florida and it only makes it seem hotter in the summer.

Why would you want to show off your pubes? That's weird and a tad gross. I trim mine. Nothing wrong with keeping them natural I just find they itch and get in the way if I am receiving oral sex. Same reason I don't like giving that to people with unkept pubes, they get in my teeth.

i also like my pubes. usually i don't shave them and i like that i have a little more hair down there than most of my friends and even some older boys. altough they make my penis look smaller, i wouldn't feel as good without them. i've got no problem when others get to see them because they make me different from boys before puberty :cool:

That is just not a socially appropriate thing to do and will probably be making other people uncomfortable. Cool you have pubes. So does everyone. They may be new to you, or you may have them before your friends but they are not something that make you unique. Everyone will get them at some point.
